Florence and the Machine's Open Concrete

New basement club Concrete is set to open this Thursday February 11 with a Florence and the Machine's DJ set.

The club that is situated in the basement of the Tea Building on Shoreditch High Street, is a big open plan space, boasting a sizable dance floor. Events here will range from clubbing to quiz nights.

Other acts confirmed to playing in weeks to come include Queenz of Noise's Smash & Grab, Sounds Familiar with MC Quizzical, and DJ sets from Horse Meat Disco’s Severino and Disco Bloodbath’s Dan Beaumont.

And the best thing about this new club, the majority of events will be free!

First Line Up Revealed for the International Music Summit 2010

Now in its third year the International Music Summit will once again bring together some of the world's leading electronic artists and representatives of some of the world’s biggest brands to discus what is going on within music.

Mark Ronson will be headline the key note interview at this years summit with other guests so far confirmed to speak: David Guetta, Annie Mac and Eric Morillo. Also joining them will be speakers from companies such as Ministry of Sound, Radio one and Coca-Cola.

The three day event will be held at the Ibiza Grand Hotel May 26-28.

Those of you interested in attending will probably be happy to hear these dates coincide with the opening of David Guetta's F**k me I'm Famous summer residency at Pacha as well as the opening of Space and a special Luciano party at Ushuaia.

All in all it's going to be a big weekend for music in Ibiza.

Fat Boy Slim Opens Belfast's Giants Park

Giants Park, soon to be Belfast's newest concert venue, is set to open May 6 with the legendary Fat Boy Slim headlining the event.

Located on the North Foreshore of Belfast Lough, organizers are sure Fat Boy Slim, who is renowned for spectacular open air performances, such as his parties on the beach in Brighton, will deliver a magical atmosphere to the city centre.

In Flagranti to play Record Store set tomorrow night

In Flagranti, cosmic disco revivalists, analogue electro retro fetishists, cut and paste production masters and remixers, beloved of folk like Erol Alkan and Soulwax, and regulars on Mixmag covermount CDs, are playing a gig in a London record store tomorrow night, which should be cool.

Majorca Rocks Hotel set to open in June

Still undecided where to go on holiday this summer? Well June sees the opening on a new hotel that shows promise. Based on the very successful Ibiza Rocks Hotel, the Mallorca Hotel is set to open.

Like the hotel in Ibiza, the new location in Magaluf will have a a permanent courtyard stage which will see a variety of big stars performing kicked off by the Kooks.

Zane Lowe is also confirmed for the event which will be June 6.
