Grime star, Bashy, gets theatre role

British grime star, Bashy, has been given the leading role in a theatre production: Markus The Sadist.

Bashy will star in the play which tells the story of a young British MC who becomes an international rap superstar.

The play is directed by Jonzi D, known for his 'hip hop theatre productions'.

The dates in October are as follows: 1 - 2 North Finchley Artsdepot, 6 Stockton on Tees Arc, 8 Nottingham Playhouse, 10 Maidenhead Norden Farm, 13 Malvern, 16 - 17 Manchester Contact Theatre, 19 London Bloomsbury, 22 - 24 Birmingham Drum, 26 - 27 Leeds Playhouse, 30 - 31 Ipswitch New Wolsey.

sigh... why is it that when every rapper gets a bit famous... they make a movie about their life rising as a zero to a rapper? if this is going to be any different from.. 8mile.. get rich or die trying.. life and lyrics etc i will be very suprised.
