The Wickham Hotel, with it's classic 'Queenslander' style, outdoor areas, live shows, gaming room, dance bar, and special events, is one of the premier hotels in Brisbane, and the leading gay and lesbian venue in Queensland. The Wickham also run's Brisbane's GLBT street party: Big Gay Day, held annually in March, which is said to have become Brisbane's answer to a big old Mardi Gras street party.Featuring djs, dance acts and live drag shows. The Wickham Hotel features an upstairs bar and dance area, balconies to watch the world speed by below and even - as the name would suggest - hotel rooms above that if you need a place to stay.
