Niche Productions in association with Waterfall Entertainment present the kind of event long promised but seldom delivered in the city of Sydney. Days Like This! is a music festival that delivers on a diverse scope of styles from Reggae, Soul, Funk, Techno, Hip Hop and beyond. Set across four stages in a village-esque atmosphere at the Entertainment Quarter, Days Like This! sets your soul straight from the start of '09 by presenting the kind of quality acts discerning music fans demand.

With a history of presenting legends, diverse line-ups and first-timers to our shores, Niche Productions raises the stakes for quality entertainment in Sydney this summer with Days Like This! headlined by dub favourites Fat Freddy’s Drop Hip Hop pioneers Public Enemy and the Soulful livewires Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.

Days Like This! has something for everyone, be it the return of tastemaker DJ and radio don Gilles Peterson, Future Soul bands like Detroit’s PPP, up and comers such as Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed, Hip Hop’s true school leaders Atmosphere, or Carl Craig for those who like something with a harder edge. Add to that a selection of Australia’s finest tune-pickers and live acts and great representation from our cross-Tasman brethren such as Ladi 6, this is sure to be a day that you will not forget for some time.

Sure to add a bit of tasteful nostalgia to the proceedings, the Days Like This bill includes Trip Hop stalwarts Morcheeba. Eschewing from the strictly soul lineup is indie band on the rise and triple J faves The Dodos. For fans of new school club hip hop South Rakkas Crew and Yo Majesty are holding it down and last but not least, Mark Pritchard, Steve Spacek and Flying Lotus will be giving our PAs a ‘proppa’ run for their money with their bottom heavy beats.
