Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
Hats off to snowbombing for another week of absolute bonkerness.

I managed to start the week, on my first run, by falling down a steep red run and hearing something click in my ribs! DOH!

That put me out of all the boarding action for the rest of the week, which was a bummer but It meant I had more time for partying!

2 main highlights of the week for me. Cassette Jam at the Shusshel had to be seen / heard to be believed. They were SO SO SO SO good. If you ever get the chance to go see them get your ass in gear as you won't be disappointed. They played a total mash up of tunes. One minute it was Nirvana, the next minute it was drum and bass, but it was all so seemless.

SO GOOD!

2nd highlight has to be the Loose Cannons at the mountain stage. The bloke in the Batman outfit can't have been able to speak in the morning after all the screaming on the mic, but good on him for bigging up the crowd... that track with the "my houserhofen" lyrics was awesome!

Wicked meeting everyone, and im glad we all came home safe and sound minus a few ribs here and there!

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally Agree... Rory and Will ripped the place apart, closely followed up by Jag Skills

ouchy there were injuries all over the shop! i have never seen so many casts, crutches and bandages in one place!

The snowboarding was freaking AWESOME on the Monday and the sunshine was like being in Ibiza! Had fun at the mountain stage on the Thurs, wish I could have stayed but I did pick the coldest day of the week to not bring a jacket and wear bloody leggings :D Numca's set was wicked too :P

Had lots of fun with all the DSI guys, but John, your brother is wierd hahah. Good fun tho.

I miss the mountains already :(

I started the week in a similar fashion to JB, falling over lots, though somehow managed to avoid a broken rib or serious injury. Ended it by hammering down the spectacular red 27 and 7 runs a few times, and nailing the amazing red run down the Ahorn twice. Fucking incredible boarding all the way down the mountain and taking in the spectacular views. Definitely buying my own gear for next year!

Then there were the parties. The best way to describe the week is that EVERY night was a highlight and one of the best nights I've ever had! If I had to pick a few that slightly rose above the rest...

- Hospital Records on Monday... blew the Racket Club apart - especially the B2B set at the end where each DJ tried to outdo the other. Never have I seen such a happy, up-for-it, crowd at a drum and bass night! If DnB was that good in this country, it'd be bigger than pop. Fact.

- Schussel - this little gem had to be seen to be believed. Decked out like a proper wooden ski cabin, it was fucking bumping from corner to corner!! Delivered the best atmosphere in Mayrhofen, which was no mean feat! The Loose Cannons literally said: "this is the best night of our lives" and "we've been waiting our whole lives to play to a crowd like this" during their set. Fuck knows why, because they were WUNDERBAR!! Oh, and did I mention it had a kebab shop IN the club?!

- Kraft Kuts - If ever there was one man to play a set to sum up the holiday, it would be this guy. A barnstorming set at Arena ensured he received the longest ovation I have EVER seen in a club - going on for about 5 minutes! Poor Soul of Man looked petrified as he attempted to follow. When KK finished with his trademark remix of The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony, I don't think the crowd knew whether to laugh or cry, because it truly was a bittersweet moment - the best festival of the year was drawing to a close, but the memories gained would last a lifetime.

There were so many more amazing moments, I could type all night, but just do yourself a favour and get to this unbelievable festival next year. ROLL ON SNOWBOMBING 2010!!!

Excellent summary Johnny, those were my highlights as well although the Artic Disco totally blew me away. Cuban brothers were also good fun.

Another highlight was standing up with all the artists and so called VIPs at the make shift DJ box during the street party. The party up there was almost as good as down in the street!
