This article is about Toronto (Canada)
Jimmy is, quite literally, a man with many hats - someone who likes to enjoy the time he spends in the studio or out in clubs, but is nevertheless passionate and serious about the music he makes, and the music he plays,
To that list of pseudonyms we should add two more. Jimmy DJs with the collective “The Garage Council” – a loose amalgam of DJs from Italy, the States, UK and Holland who recently raised the roof from Amsterdam’s celebrated locale Supperclub. Secondly, Jimmy produces with disco amigo Nick Hussey as “Soundstream”. Their track Fade2Grey was signed by Pete Gooding during last year’s Ibiza, and Jason Bye played it most Sundays at Space. Only this week it was picked up by Xtravaganza for a full release. The guys are currently in the studio working on the follow up.
In terms of gigs, in recent weeks Jimmy has spun at major northern parties Ultima, Venus and 2Kinky. However, as an international disco of mystery his passport is phatter than Pavorotti’s butt cheeks. This summer he has been invited to spin at Ibiza’s legendary boat parties, in July he will be guesting in San Francisco at the Supperclub (Supperclub are due to open the Los Angeles venue shortly and yep, Monsieur le Chapeau will be there), and at the end of July he’s north of the border in Toronto, at Vogue.
2007 is Jimmy’s year… whatever hat he’s got on.
