Carl Cox - Dance Valley 2008 ( recorded live )

With the very successful 14th edition of Dance Valley still fresh in the back
of our minds it is already time for the release the official Dance Valley 2008 2CD mix.
Like last years edition, which got very positive responses, Mid-Town and UDC decided to go with live recorded audio once again.

None other than the mighty Carl Cox was chosen as the musical ambassador for this years Dance Valley CD.

Great care was taken into recording his entire live set and the result is two absolutely slamming discs each filled with an hour of the best tech House, minimal and techno!
With his sublime choice of records and perfect DJ skills, Carl Cox made this set one to make your mouth water.

Filled with only top-of-the-bill tunes from producers like:

Michel De Hey vs. M.I.R.K.O
Christian Smith &John Selway
Radio Slave
Sander van Doorn and Trevor Rockcliffe
just to name a few.

Enjoy...

good to hear ... after having heard mixed report about previous events, I didn't want to be disappointed, so avoided it.

The problem with SW 4 is that it is always SOOOOOOOO quiet! But if you go with lots of friends and treat it as a laugh and a piss take - it is a great day out - albeit an expensive one.

Ive heard very mixed opinions on it once again this year, i did hear that from several informants that Diggers did indeed smash it though...meh.
Tenaglia was apparently quite shit though, can anyone confirm that ?
What were the sound systems like this year, could you actually hear the music for once?

Tenaglia was apparently quite shit though

He was average, I left after about two songs and caught Green velvet, who for me undoubtably played the best set of the day!

I actually thought Carl cox wasn't that good, probably just because of the atmosphere of the main stage, I much prefer the Atmosphere in the Global tent, and the music is a bit louder in there.

Tiefschwarz were good, Claude Von stroke was full of plastic house lovers and too quiet, although he did drop Dum which was good. That was about all I caught. Oh and Layo and Bushwacka, played some nice Techno/Minimal, but the main stage just had a shit atmosphere (In my opinion).

What did everyone else think?
