WMC 07 It will be very interesting to see...
What happens to all the Electro/Dirty/Filthy House DJ's once the conference is over! As the season is changing music is too. Everyone attending the conference this year in Miami will be discussing whats going to be big over here in the summer and being as its going to be Deep Soulful and US Grooves all the way over in Miami, what will happen to all the DJ's who play electro/dirty/filthy house religiously?

Discuss :)

They will do what they always been doing....searching searching and searching and never finding....what makes one change to something? Dissatisfaction... and this is only satisfying when appreciation is showed...so for now the masses love it, the DJ is GOD....however....the Masses or the DJ both know they are going to consume and move on....hopefully this is the last stop....this is where u get to take your shoes of and uncurl your toes...

Welcome to the real underground...this is chicago house music baby! :)

Was it a clairvoyant that told you that? My crystal ball tells me that the Filth will stick no matter how hard you scrub.

so do you think that the dirtbag craze over here is just in London? and do you also think that people will now discover jackin chicago beats when there is a lack of harder music ?

This is a very intelligent talking point to raise PG!

Not wanting to get too serious on it, but hopefully the summer & WMC will wipe the dirt away,

A bit like Cilit Bang!

U know to be fair....the questions like that should never be asked, to each his\her own right? However in the sense of debate, you cannot really tell...every beginning has a end....i would mor elike to look at it like, looking after what we have discovered ;) Imagine the masses all flocking to it....ud be raped of this beautiful genre in no time....

:)

I guess...just let the peeps be...if they discover it....i reckon they will understand its purpose...if its thrown in the face...house is the catalyst.....it never dies....but new forms come n go....Chicago (now dubbed jackin) has been around since the 80s.....but its got a new name...and bound to be classified as somethign else in another who knows how many years...

What my point is...that it is what it is.....u know i know....but not everyone who dips their foot into will know it....maybe theres a point to electro just as deep as jackin to some....however Ive never felt it....

i think thats about as fair as i can put it.....live and let live, :) respect each kind to its own kind for what purpose it serve to them....

its all about house music...this is my chosen genre...and im lovin it! :)

Know what I think it will babe, but what will happen to the DJ's I know i have stuck to my guns all the way through does this mean that music has become like fashion if those djs playing filth suddenly turn to soulful deep and chicago again?

Shouldn't people be free to play whatever they like. You are making it sound like djs are cynical people who just play whatever they think is in vogue and there is no Heart to their Art. You've got to feel it first and if you feel Jackin then you play Jackin and if you feel electro then you play electro and Godwilling you will find like minds and like hearts to share your passion with.
What about hybridizations. A Jackin electro track. What would that sound like? Just a thought.

i think when it comes to the aspect of what dj's are going to do

you have to ask yourself how many dj's do what they do for there own selfish gains
and not for the love of house music?

Sorry to burst your bubble babe but there are some dj's out there that arent in it for the love of the music its a sad fact but true. Ive always stayed true to my heart but some people just want their 5 mins of fame and be off! Of course not everyone is like that but like all bad things in life - it does exist!

I agree with you though yes people should play to their heart but thats not the point of the discussion, the point is WHAT will HAPPEN to the DJ's who religiously play this type of music when it takes its turn in the cycle ?

I don't think its going to dissapear this summer - I've been out to some electro/dirty events recently & they were absolutely rocking with a lovely crowd around. I think there is plenty of space in London for all different types of music - its what makes London such a good place to go out in.

I love all types of house & hope there is always a varied selection for me to dance my socks of too!

What can we say!

It's not just the dj's or the clubs that decide what's big & what's not!

It's the people that go out & appreciate House music! At least that's what it should be!
