Subject
Hush? will it last?
So the opening of this club is on the horizon now and i am just curious on peoples thoughts on the subject, as this has been built up now for months and months with shameless plugging all over DSI. Having witnessed Bournemouth peek a few yrs back it now seem Bournemouth is incapable of making headline nights a success even the best house night Bournemouth and possibly the south coast has seen (Maison) seem to struggle to fill a venue on a regular basis. The opening night is sure fire to be a road block just if nothing else because of the hype which has been created by its promotion team and Bournemouth people are a sucker for launch nights no matter what the event however is the going to be another venue with a shelf life that never seems to quite live up to the hype?

will be good i think, from what I hear they aren't compromising at all with lineups or quality of the acts and will only put a show on that has quality written all over it.

Yes stop being so negative before something has had a chance. Lets just hope they choose a good enough sound system to warrent this hype, be a shame for it to be purple, They got it so wrong in one of the towns recent installs.

Oh, and Maison is always packed no matter what venue it tries!

Get more positive and look forward to another great summer in Bournemouth!

whether hush is going to be your cup of tea or not its going to fill a massive gap in the clubscene in Bournemouth that has been vacant since the manor closed back in 1999. The only way it will not succeed is if they try and make it too exclusive but then again we all know this town is full of rich poseurs. With Consortium, Dusk till Dawn, Hush, The Old Firestation and a fully refurbished Opera House due to reopen independant nightlife round here has not been this healthy for a long time, there will be something for everyone and other towns that just have run of the mill corporate chain clubs and late night bars will look on bournemouth with envy - bring on the summer

er...cant see that happening mate...those days are gone..anyway since then we've had plenty of multi room nights......bump n hustle (mobo award nominated) deja vu, obviously the slinky nights...plus it was a different crowd back then....and i seem to remember the k bar being multi roomed, although i cant comment as i havent entered the place since 2002.
i just hope itis new, fresh....the soundsystem is top notch and it doesnt attract a bunch of wankers who are there to be seen and not for the music and to experience the effort the owners and promoters go to.
mind you the guys behind this pulled off the landmarc....so heres hoping, fingers crossed for them

like people are saying time will tell. I hope it dose well cus bournemouth needs a good house night and especailly a nice looking club inside.but there is alot of truth in the fact that you cant ressurect the old days as most of thoses people are either married, have kids, are have just retired from the club scence.but i wish them all the best

Don't want to put a downer on things, but I first thought hush was going to be this amazing club with fantastic sound system with headonistic sounds, we are all saying that bournemouth is crying out for a new market, I then look at the local mags and find a launch night of carwash cheesy music in one room and wave fm in another, maybe i'm getting it all wrong but hardly cutting edge!!!???? or is hush in the same market as elements and walkabout?? and £10 to get in
