Petrol Prices!!!!! Please read And invite your buddies!!!!! Its become a joke!!!!!!
I have copied and pasted a message i received from facebook to spread the word amongst all of us d.s.i users about how we could possibly bring down the price of petrol in this country. Please read it and invite your buddies, So we could all try and make a difference.

See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it

We are hitting 106.9 p a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying £1 .10 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol.

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join in!

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take
a ggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place not sellers.

With the price of petrol going up more each day, we
consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send i t to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at
least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached
over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and
pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ..

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and
not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us
sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt,
all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the
next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference If this makes
sense to you, please pass this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE
RANGE

It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your
petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e.
boycott BP and Esso

I only use a tenner a week

just getting to work costs £60 a week - there are no buses as I live in a very rural area, the only bus that comes here, goes nowhere near where I want to go.
We don't all get much of a choice

If only the propagander this government spin were believable.....no dear sir, it is to gain revenue for a very over stretched and confused purse....

Buds in, £400+ per month on fuel takes the piss

True.........
But until there are more (& more reliable) bus services going round, peeps will still use their cars as it's easier for them, also if ya have a lot of stuff some busses won't let you on board with it all...
As a non-driver I can tell you how well-provided (or not) public transport is, & I talk about busses more as trains are very expensive & can't get to half the places in this country...
This government needs a kick up the backside & NOW!!!!!!!!!

Might actually work this time!!!!! lol
Seriously, they go about things all wrong!!!!!!!!
Unemployment's a problem, so they penalise everyone who hasn't got a job, while bringing in peeps from other countries to work.
Too many of us use cars, so they up the road tax & the price of petrol, while making diesel even more expensive, & who uses diesel??? Busses, lorries, taxis & rural traffic!!!!!
There's more stupid things they've done as well.......

Trains are mostlyy electric now, what we should do is introduce the new fuel technology to busses...

but millions of cars are company vehicles with accounts at the Brands so they have no choice...and the fuel companies charge 17p a litre for fuel the rest is direct government tax..so when they put fuel up 1p lobby the government to reduce its tax by 1p to absorb the higher cost for you..rather than wasting your time on stupid schemes like this....you would have to make this work the world over for it to be effective...they use in the USA in 1 day what the whole of the UK uses in a year...they consume 365 times more fuel than the uk. The uk is a small market.....and i dont ever remember hearing of any Tesco oil fields or Morrisons...so where do you think they buy their fuel from to sell from their petrol stations ???? Exactly from the 2 big names u say not to use so they will still sell the same amount of fuel as the supermarkets will buy more as there sales increase

I undersatnd where your coming from mate, but i can guarantee you that even if the supermarkets do buy from the 2 big names we are talking about they buy at a much lower price than us the drivers pay. so therefor if we do boycott these two big names they will eventually lose out guaranteed.

TESCOS IS CHEAPER ANYHOO

tesco probably buy petrol from BP/esso anyway and if not it'll be from a similar huge company who is just as complicit in pitching prices up so high.

Drive to work with a freind/colleague.
Use public transport.
Get off ur lazy arses and walk/ride a bike!

Why lower the price of a fossil fuel only to make it cheaper for us to pollute the atmosphere?

absolutely spot on!!!

don't buy any petrol at all that is the only way to ensure u piss all the petrol companies.

Government should put more tax on fuel cos it is a poisonous dirty fuel and it does no-one any good except the top bosses of filthy rich corporations
