DSI on ban list for Adult Content
The internet content filtering system used at my work, Websense, has added DSI to the their "Adult Content" category, therefore no more DSI at work.

I find it funny they chose "Adult Content" and not "Social Networking" (facebook and myspace come under this); i guess we're infamous for hot pics firstly and social networking secondly.

I think Websense has a JPG fleshtone recognition module, which might automatically categorise it under that heading.

Websense should have a decent list of proxies in it to block.

(You could always set up your own but it knows about MOST common ones.)

True.

Remote Desktop to your browser at home is another good way if you have RD on your work machine.

or you could print out loads of pages before work and then write replies on the print outs in pen then return home and type them all in

I had the same problem with one of my own modelling sites: there was no p0rn there but it had words like "model" so it got blocked. It seems that a lot of filters rely on ICRA ratings which are put into the web pages, so if DSI could implement that it might not be automatically blocked. Its free, quick and easy to do.

I can't help thinking that if DSI actually used ACCURATE ICRA labels, then it most certainly WOULD be blocked!

Our workplace is locked down pretty well. Our copies of IE are locked so you can't assign another proxy.

But that's beside the point, our internal firewall blocks all outgoing traffic. Web access is only possible through the internal proxy which is all 'websensed' upped.

you could try actually "working" for once while you're there?

I wonder if it would still block it if I put dsi in an I Frame then hosted that page on one of my domains.

I think I might give that a go.
