Right, first everyone here at Vicious Circle would like to hold up our collective hands and say sorry for not communicating the state of play before now, but hopefully this news item will bring everyone up to date as to what we’ve been doing, what we’re doing now and what the future plans are for all things Vicious!

What’s been going on then?
The last year has seen nothing less than upheaval in the vinyl industry. Not just for Hard House but for all genres across the board. First of all, our distributor and one of the largest in the world, Amato, went into receivership. Closely followed by our partner for much of the actual manufacturing, Independent Pressing. Both incidents have turned the environment for committing and investing in vinyl, into a significant financial risk. A risk that we simply cannot afford to take. So we can confirm today that there will not be any future releases of Vicious Circle material in vinyl format.

So that’s the bad news, but shed not too big a tear, and let’s get onto the good news!
The good news being that even though there has not been a new release on VC for going on one entire year now, that doesn’t mean that head honcho Glazby as well as other VC label regulars have been sitting on their collective asses! The exact opposite is the reality, which means that currently there’s a wealth of new releases which will be available through the new improved and upcoming VC website and via the best digital download distributors to ensure maximum exposure when it all kicks off again!

We’ve also all been busy working on a groundbreaking project which will be a new and deadly weapon in the VC arsenal, delivering Hard House to the world in one ass kicking audio and visual format! We’re not going to give you all the dirty details now but the wait will be more than worth it. We’re looking to launch this extra special project early summer.

So back to the website..
We know that when we took down the sites late last year we failed to give almost any notice at all and that naturally people were wondering what had happened and why the plug got pulled so suddenly! Unfortunately at the time there were unavoidable issues which meant it was on one day, and off the next. But the root of it was that we did not have 100% control over the hosting and development of the site. However, we’re pleased (and relieved) to say we do now have full control, so when we re-launch the site it will be completely in our hands, without any future downtime – touch wood!

For the new website, we’re going back to our roots. The good old days of www.vicious-circle .net will be brought back to life and will be the sole URL for Vicious Circle online. It will include a digital download section for all past, present and future VC releases. A new online store with fresh and original ranges of merchandise. As well as feature rich news pages to keep you up to date with all things Vicious.

VC events have not been forgotten either. We are currently investigating the ideal venue and date to present the eagerly awaited VCr3, hopefully along with other VC events which will live up to the historical intensity and quality that you’ve come to expect from Vicious Circle.

So we hope this goes some way to getting everyone ‘back in the VC loop’ and to re-emphasize the fact that Vicious Circle are committed to promoting and moving forward the Hard House music and scene that we truly love.

Shit only just read this. This is terrible news about vinyl, I love my VC collection to bits. Will you guys be doing printed CD'S like Fireball? Glad you haven't gone completely though, that would've been unthinkable.
