Like people have suggested, i think its def worth considering having the choice of perhaps 3 or 4 different designs on your spotter cards when you order them.....regardless of whatever pic is chosen for the current card i think you inevitably alienate i certain scene or genre.

Love the idea of having the template so you can have whatever pic you want on your own spotter cards! Got a feeling there'd be a lot of protests to that though! lol

i think if you bring out new spotters cards it should have a fit girl and a fit guy on it and the dont stay in logo in the backround then every one is happy and if there not then that there problem.

I agree with this, but I also wonder whether it would be worth the time and money spent... I.e. would that money/labour equal the correct percentage more users, or would DSI techincally make a loss... I hope that makes sense. I really can't think how to explain what I mean.

The more variants you print within a defined print run increases the cost as you have to change the plates/restart the run each time a new variant comes in. Unless you print them in mixed batches, but then the fulfilment costs (for sorting them into types) would go up.

What I mean is that DSI have to pay us to do the extra work... So say three different choices of cards, would mean three times extra work... Would this increase site users and diversity by three times?

And you'd have to target which spotters got which cards (based on where they are likely to attend) in order to not send out tons of cards which get thrown away...bad carbon footprint, lots of wastage in terms of printing costs and staffing for sorting them otherwise. Unless spotters chose which ones they wanted, but that would take management all by itself anyway. Seems like a lot of effort for not so much gain...you're right.

I think that would be the only feasble way ofdoing it... And then we have to think of labour costs in regards to messing about with the site. As far as I have seen, there have been so many upgrades recently that the geeks don't have time!

Would be a nice idea, but I don't think it would be very cost effective :-(
