Arsenal in crisis!
Flamini gone for free, Hleb leaving for £3m - absolutely terrible news for Arsenal. Flamini can probably be replaced, as his main asset is his workrate, but that combined with Hleb going, one of our star performers this season, is a huge blow.

Wenger simply has to open up the chequebook this summer and spend big. With two first teamers leaving, and the need for at least three new players even if the squad had stayed together, I would say that £60-70m must be spent to ensure top four status next season.

On the shopping list must be a defensive midfielder, centre back and winger(s). Wenger has to put his ego aside for a moment and realise that some of the current squad aren't up to it. If there is money to spend, he needs to be making moves for players now.

I think the use of the word 'crisis' is a bit over the top.

Crisis is correct.

It'll be a crisis when you're battling relegation mate, until then its far from a crisis. You've gotten so used to being a successful team that you think not finishing top four is a crisis! Its crazy mate. Take a step back and think about it. Being a Newcastle fan I find it laughable that you're talking of of a crisis cos you might finish 5th!

Players bust a gut for your team and when they decide to move on they get called cunts
eg Gareth Barry, unless he stays :-)

Any Arsenal fans who doubt the importance of Hleb are seriously misguided. He's vital to our style of football and acts as a perfect compliment to Fabregas. Flamini isn't a cunt, he's just greedy, but fair play to him - it's his living. Thanks for this season and good luck warming the bench at the San Siro.

It's all relative though - Arsenal are used to being top four so dropping out would be a crisis.

It's all relative though, Steve. I'm sure Wolves wouldn't look upon battling for relegation in the Prem as a crisis.

He was a legend but thinks hes bigger than the club! Fuck that shit Tee-J, I love Arsenal as a club not as individuals! I hate greed mate, and that's what these cunts are full of!

Why can't they be like Kolo Toure ... aware of the fact that they are LUCKY to be wearing our shirt and that they have an honour by doing so!

Fuck that shit man, I'm not for this more money shit no matter who you are or what you say!

Take that cunt Ashley Cole, done so much for us but now one of the club's fan's most hated players! why? mostly because of greed, besides his words! That cunt turned down his last offered contract at the club because it was £5,000 short of what he wanted!!! I mean what the fuck!!!!

I knew that would be the comeback. I really dont think that makes a great deal of difference. I honestly believe that the fans have been spoiled and are so used to have success that the think its a given. Your club is financially stable, full of great players, has a great manager, great new stadium, a wealth of young talent coming through yet you're in crisis? Nonsense.

And all that is down to their success on the pitch.

Steve for the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool finishing outside of the top four is unthinkable and yes I'm afraid any of those four teams would call it a crisis. Having that mentality is what has kept those teams up there. A teams ambition is always dependent on what they are used to and they always use that as a measure of success. If anything Newcastle need a bit more of that mentality (and a few better players of course) and they might also start getting back to winning ways.

I'm so enragged at Ade, who the fuck does he think he is having one good season and then demanding £80k a week!?! it took Henry years to earn that amount at Arsenal and yes time does change but fuck that! He's got to truely earn that amount!

Is it fucking Agents as well though?

Wenger hasn't done himself any favours though. All this stuff about wage structure is a bit pony when you've got two players breaking that wage structure. Ade was their top scorer last season so what did he expect him to do?

Steve I do hear what you're saying and to be honest I'm grateful that I don;t support a club that is languishing in mid table mediocrity every season or battling relegation. But at the same time Liverpool has a great history of winning titles and it's kills me every season that we're not challenging (in the league I mean). Like D says it's all relative, I don't think it's a case of expecting success automatically it's more a case of thinking "WTF?" when you don't get it.

Tee, we are over £300 million in debt mate, what the fuck do you want the man to do!? the wage structure is there for a reason!

No one should be bigger than the club so fuck that shit! It's different at Liverpool where no club would have 9 of your players so you can break yer backs to keep the 2 players you have!
