Eh?

Am I missing the point as to what a DEMO cd is supposed to be?

This would be better marketed as "So you aren't a DJ and you want to pretend you are ......... Why not get your favorite tracks mixed on a CD so you can LIE to your mates and tell them you are a DJ"?
F*** it, a tenner'll do it.

Ill do it for a fiver and bring a load of mates! Please can i do it?

a demo is supposed to show what you are like as a dj. As a promoter i would want a direct representation of what the DJ is going to be like when they play live. So paying you to mix it for them completely defeats the object

If you listen to any commercially mixed CD, by any 'big name' DJ, it will have been done electronically.

Not quite true, all the Vicious Circle Cd's have been mixed live on 1210's & cd decks.

I'm not really sure that producing a demo for someone is the best idea, I certainly wouldn't want to see a dj play in a club that wasn't ready to yet!

And defeats the eagle ears of the promoter.........

Plus takes away the DJs style of mixing and the ability to show a wide range of different types of mixes to the promoter if its all mixed generically on a comp
