EXIT
is the festival on everyone’s lips, with over 10,000 Brits making it their festival of choice in 2007 and winning ‘Best European Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards. Set within the walls of the 17th Century Petrovaradin Fortress, EXIT provides an awe inspiring backdrop for the biggest music and cultural event in South East Europe. The first acts to be confirmed include; Paul Weller, The Sex Pistols, Primal Scream, Gossip, Juliette Lewis & the Licks, M.I.A, Gogol Bordello, Ministry, The Hives, Deep Dish (Dubfire & Sharam), Kruder & Dorfmeister Summer Sessions, Sven Vath, Soulwax, 2ManyDJs, Laurent Garnier, Francois K, Tiga, Booka Shade, Ben Watt and Claude Von Stroke with many more to follow.

EXIT is your ticket to a once in a lifetime experience, celebrating music, life, freedom and friendship with like minded party people from around the world. Over 600 performances will take place on 25 stages connected by cobbled streets, ramparts and tunnels - a walk through the mystical fortress is like a trip through a magical wonderland. The Dance Arena is regarded by many as the best in Europe and the experience of dancing with 20,000 people as the sun rises over the fortress walls is truly mind blowing.

Renowned for its diverse and adventurous line ups,
EXIT encompasses all genres of music from rock to rap, classical to chill, dance to drum & bass and electronic to experimental. Artists who have already performed include; Basement Jaxx, Billy Idol, Franz Ferdinand, Fatboy Slim, Morrissey, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Scissor Sisters, Underworld, White Stripes.

Launched 9 years ago as a student initiated protest against the communist Milosevic regime, EXIT proves that music is a universal language that can connect and bring people together to make the world a better place. EXIT has captured the imagination of festival goers worldwide and although it gets bigger each year, the sentiment remains the same.

I went last year and yeah it is an amazing experience but not one i will be repeating again!Unless u have the spare cash to pay for the more expensive route on the plane then it really is a long haul! 3n a bit hours on a plane then 14 hours on a train(remember u have 4 border control points!!and there is no space on the train whatsoever) then another hour and a bit on a train then a 20 min bus journey!!!!! then the ridiculous queue to get into the campsite! and the 4 mile hike to the event then the completely outrageous queues to get your tickets!!!!!!!!!! yeah after all that it is enjoyable. But no one ever mentions all that unless u ask them and then they go "oh yeah it was a lil busy"

Yeah they have big line ups on but unless u wanna gamble with your life then u stay well clear of the big stages!!!!!A girl got crushed to death when prodigy were on and i lost count of the amount of times my girlfriend got knocked into trodden on punched, etc. the serbians have no sense of patience or manners and if your in their way then tough luck.

I would like to say that maybe that was just a bad experience by a small group of people but that was not the case! this happened all weekend with me ending up on the brink of smacking the next person who did it to me.

Another thing to be very wary of is if there is a african raced person with you as they are a highly racist nation. we had a coloured lad winston who we met at the airport with his mate nic and we spent our holiday with them as there is safety in numbers(and because they were really sound) but walking down the street and you could hear people saying things behind our backs not quiet either and you knew what they meant(as we asked sumbody!)

Oh and if ur gonna do gear over there B VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! its not like over here where if found with 5 in a club u get kicked out and told your a very naughty boy.over there if found with one they will rough u up drag u off to the cells for the night! have u in court the next day and hit u with a £250 + fine!!!!!!!!! YES THIS DOES HAPPEN A LOT!!!!!!!!!! we was talking to a very sad looking fella who was the unfortunate receiver of such!!!!

All in all...............yeah its hot yeah there are big names playing, and yeah its cheap when ur there. but it is not something i will ever be repeating.maybe i had a bad one, personally i cant see that as the case as i am very open minded but i wish i was told the truth before i went as i would of prepared myself better

Hello, I was there last year and I'd like to put peoples mind at rest as a girl was not crushed to death when the Prodigy were on stage and it was a rumour going round the campsite.

Yes there were queues, but there were over 10,000 people from the UK last year and the festival sent a questionaire to all the ticket buyers so they could make improvemants for this year.

Also the walk from the campsite is not 4 miles, it takes 10 - 15 mins. I guess it depends what state you are in though.

Sorry to hear you thought Serbains were racist, as I know the guys who do the reggae stage and they have had no problems and infct there stage is one of the most popular. There are really great guys.

Also its just common sense to be careful when you are abroad, not all countries are as soft as our good old blighty. The Spanish Guard in Ibiza and Spain are also tough.

Anyway, I'll be there so hope to see you in the Dance Arena when the sun comes up!
