Derelict Places

I am looking to take some shots of derelict buildings and could do with some locations, I am sure someone on here mentioned an old Asylum in Shropshire with access or any other locations would be appreciated.

there use to be loads but they have all either been revamped or knocked down. there was a place on oakly st i use to hang out in as a kid was fuckig huge but got torched for an insurence job the only place i know of apart from the maltings is on the road to dinkeys diner on the left there is a run down old house

oh and on the river path oposite grazia thereis a old shed with a fuck car in it its part of someones garden but theres no harm in asking

We used to go round derelict buildings quite a lot exploring with a mate of mine and this other lad... went round the Royal Hospital in Wolves , Some mill by it near the train station and Featherstone army base. Got a load of the photos here:
photoaddiction.co.uk (he did old Central studios and Longbridge too!)

Wanted to go looking round the old Shrewsbury Hospital site for a bit but I think they've started knocking it down now.

Give us a shout if you're going round anytime soon and I'll come with you.

Theres some derelict castles nearby by like Acton Burnell, parts of Shrewsbury Castle, Haughmond Abbey, Ludlow, Stokesay or The Maltings in Shrewsbury, not sure if you can get in though. There is an old derelict windmill in Telford round the tracks that go round the back of the town park.

Lol you definatly would bump into Crack/Smack/Glue Heads in that block. Depends what sort of photo shoot your trying to do?

You ought to have been up some of the Wolves blocks... Brockfield House and Phoenix Rise... corr blimey! Phoenix was a bloody private block aswell!!
