This new buddy invite system is terrible.

Before I had a drop down where I could see who hadn't been invited to a thread because they would be the only ones showing. Now I don't know who has or hasn't been invited, what a shambles.

Why did it have to changed? What was so wrong with the old way?

I hate it too... last week i ended up inviting 200odd people to a private message!

click on the 'show' link next to the type of buddy you have added.

Only just spotted that. There's nothing wrong with the new system, it appears to be simpler, but a drop down menu of names wouldn't hurt.

Still it means if your not sure of a persons exact user name you have to load hundreds of names into the window and then delete the ones you dont want.

No I did intend to invite everyone in my town, but not everyone on DSI!! lol But like I openly admit, I did loose it even wanting to doing that. But still its done now, and that persons enough to drive you too anything!! lol

yep and takes forever ... thats what i did when it invited half my buddy list anyway!!!!

yeah i tried it after i typed it and it crashed internet explorer!! grr.

i attempted 5 times to add someone to a private message, typed in his exact user name but it just seemed like it spooned out each time so I couldnt add him!

i like it. now i can invite people in one click of the button!!!

Indeed you can but if you have a lot of buddies and want to select particular buddies, you can't unless you add all and then remove the one's you don't want... Unless you know everybody's exact username.

Useless.

I, as a lot of DSI members, liked to be able to browse and select certain buddies, that way you're less likely to forget buddies or add buddies who aren't gonna want or need the information.

Most people don't have time to add their, more often that not, 500+ buddies and remove the 400 they don't want in the topic.

I quite like the new system tho

New system seems fine, except that you can't hover your mouse over the names and get the popup with the photo! This is helpful if someone has recently changed their username. You search by realname/e-mail and get a user, but to confirm it's the person you know with a popup would be very helpful.

Bad points: you can "invite people in one click of the button!!!".
