Actually HARDCORE was a descriptive term for the HARDCORE of fans who used to follow the rave and Party scene around the country. In the Ealy days you had RAVE music and Jungle/D&B. this got mixed together to form what they decided to call HARDCORE..... Nowerdays tho what we have been left with is mostly cheesy pop with a 4-4 beat and very poorly put together apart from a few tunes.

you only have to sit down and listen to the bonkers series to see how downhill it has gone.

Utter rubbish.

House and techno both came a good few years before hardcore.

so that`ll be a song by "TECHNO head " i believe a clue to the style may be in the band name . hardcore came from a split in the jungle scene . both techno and house were about well before this

and it came out in 1995, 10 years after the first HOUSE records. Technically it was gabber too, which contrary to current belief has nothing to do with hardcore.

Helps if you actually have a clue what you're talking about before spouting shite.

Actually hardcore techno was one of the early forms of hardcore... and also it's original name that just got shortened to 'hardcore', so he is kind of right in that respect.

Still doesn't change the fact that hardcore was popularised in late 1991/1992, and rave in the form of techno and house had already been going 5 years before that. :)

Hardcore was a reponse to the dark influences of jungle entering the rave scene, it started off as speeded up techno beats and baselines with house style samples and vocals over the top, then found a style of it's own as more producers came along in 1993-1994.

'happy' hardcore vs 'dark' jungle is where it all started :)

Not much different now really, hardcore heads and DnB fans still tend to dislike each other!

House and techno came out of a completely different scene to the rave scene. lol it was when things started to mingle you got hardcore, it was still a term used to describe the fans untill quite recently..

you had HARDCORE events it described the fans not the music

it was the commercialisation of the scene that led to Hardcore being used as a brand genre to sell lol

Its like hitting your head on a brick wall this
