I remember getting a promo remix of Turn Around about 5 years after it was a hit, The remix was terrible and was never released.

They are a rip off! The original is a tune called 'Reach Up', they sampled the whole tune...what a skank!

Come on guys play nicely ;-) Phats & Small as an act achieved alot especially in the 90's , the DJ act is still going strong and Ben has an absolutely awesome voice. The track 'Turnaround' was a worldwide hit and reached number 2 in the UK charts, and they followed it up with 'Feel Good' and 'Tonite'. The boys also have some new material due for release this year.

Phats & Small sampled a part of the vocal sung by Tony Lee on Reach Up, which Ben sings on Turnaround, but as a track it sounds nothing like Reach Up.

Lets be realistic sampling is common practice in the music industry it has been for years!

Anyhow Mission is a wicked venue and i am sure it wil be a great night.

Hahaha..they sampled more than jus a little bit, they ripped it off! Right down to the arrangement AND gave no credit to the original artist nor the label. It was blatant! LOL

'Turn Around' was a massive smash hit worldwide, closely followed by a succession of huge singles ('Tonite', 'Feel Good', 'This Time Around' and more) as well as a huge album. They remixed under the Mutant Disco Guise and still produce today.

It's sad there's such a negative vibe from some, who blatently have nothing better to do than sit behind their PC and hurl abuse and hatred. If you won't be coming or have nothing good to say, why say anything? No one's forcing you to comment.

Their tunes are club classics, just what 'On a Ragga Tip' is to hardcore, or what NWA's 'Express Yourself' is to hip-hop. The track was commercially successful, this makes it a target?? Seems like you're penalized for success. Please if you don't have anything good to say, just leave it alone.

News to me, anyway, its a joke, the original single was a chopped up sample house tune feat the vocals of Tony Lee, there is not one single original lyric sung by Phats n Small yet they paraded this like they made it originally, miming over the original vocals, have you listened to it properly??
