How about letting some of the up and coming dj's play a bit more rather than booking old names that everyone's heard!!!

Personally I think the big boys will move in, Luminar, Weatherspoons, Revolution will take on the old F3k venues, can't see any independent buyers getting the backing to take one on in the current financial climate.

As for Crank I think Tim's got a point, being Carr's only venue maybe he will put everything he's got into it and make it the venue it deserves to be OR it could just turn into a cash cow to help sure up the pension pot!

You would need the right people for the job though, not easy getting people in week after week and stupidly enough i think most of their finances went on the first few months of bookings, everyone knew it wouldnt last and now look at it, they should of stretched it out over a longer period and maybe we would have acts to look forward to now !!!

I don't doubt it, I only say what i personally would like to see. What will be will be, as long as the music is still great I'm happy. ;-)

Crank has always been pretty wank in my opinion. Everytime i went in there, there was no more than 100 people in.

As for you Angel, you crack me up! Ark at you now! Six months ago, i used to come on DSI and see you, Helen and Artful Dodger talk amongst yourselves all week, saying "Crank is the best", "Bedbug is amazing", "Its going to be a road block tonight!" - then after the event, where only 100 or so ppl turned up (and thats pushing it), you'd still say "Crank was massive last night, it proper went off!" Now look at you, slating their crap promotion.... wake up! It was always crap.

i really do hope bedbug makes another appearance this year no doubt it will.lets hope this time we dont hear the "we are creating a worldwide brand and doing sw4 bollox" like last year.all youve got to do is put on good parties and i think bedbug put on some good parties last year .it obviously wasnt good enough at the time.
