What do you want from a night out?
Putting on my own night has got me thinking about what makes a night good.... What type of music? Which dj's? What added extras - free give-aways/Demos.....??

What has made past nights out you have been on good for you?
When you go out, what makes it s memorable night?
What is it that makes you want to go to an event?

I love giving out cds to people who u see stompin when playing and know on a night out it is class getting a cd to rinse on the way home,

See the lineup doesnt have to be all big names sometimes even a night of small names can be better

Have to agree about big names, i mean if its a local event im not fussed who's playing, If its my style of music I'll go, If its a bit more distant then i might take more notice of the line up, Freebies are always a bonus but not the be all and end all.

To sum up, so long as the musics it good, it cant go wrong :)

I think the night has to progress well, by pace, style + intensity. Also, I think its very important for people to know what they're going to get tunage wise. I've seen nights in the past lose punters by changing the main room music style each month. One event in particular used to have 1 month trance, 1 month techno + room 2 would be a pot luck aswell, which didnt work. A hostile free environment, reasonable priced drinks + value for money with the door fee all play a part

If you need a hand promoting this just need to ask hun

A head liner would be good but depends how much budget you have, free stuff is always a bonus.

I definately agree with free demos, it is great seeing someone stomping their arse off to your set and then being able to give them a demo of yours that they haven't heard! I love getting a new demo to listen to on the way home from a night out!

I think the line up for a night is important even for small nights. When I look for nights out I always look at the line up first to see if the music style and dj's are my kinda thing. The music style is more essential over the dj's I think though for small nights, because there may be a new dj playing who you might not have heard of but who could be wicked and play all your fav tunes!!

I deifnately agree with the door fee being reasonable, hence the fact MY NIGHT IS FREE!! I wont be taking any money at the door, so even if you aren't sure if you want to come the fact you wont have to spend money on getting in may sway your decision in coming out!!

What about things like being able to park easy at the club and chill out areas, is this important in making a night good?

Karl - I'll speak to you hun, thank you!! Your help will be much appreicated!!

Can i say Caz, well done for being brave enough and spending your time putting something like this together! Respect.......

One question, If your not charging a door fee then how prey will you be raising any money for the charity???

Tell me you'l be raising sponsorship money by giving Wain a "Back, Sack & Crack Waxing" , i wouldn't want to witness it but i'd donate £20 just to hear him scream in tune to "Stupid f**king Experts"... lol

Only jesting Wain!!!

Good luck with it hunni, you have my support and you can use the B.O.U.N.C.E Brand to promote it too......

Cyber Friendly!! :)

From our nite we made quite a bit from selling all the lollys & glo-sticks & put that all straight in the charity box

Think it would be fun to sponsor some of the DJs to do something tho, waxing Wain isnt such a bad idea!! lol

DJs that play new stuff as well as old stuff and a night that progresses starts on one level and finishes on another. And DJs that are passionate about what they do.

Yeah exactly I dig around all over the place for tunes with a little something different, It's nice to go clubbing and here things you've never heard before as well as a few good old classics that ya haven't heard in ages.

We will be collecting from people on the night with little official collection boxes. People can donate as much as they wish!
