Be careful photographing people up-close - can give cone-heads.

x2

love my 10-20, can be a bit soft however, but i like it.

generally find i have to up the ISO when using it however because of 4.5 app, which can lead to noisy pics.

let us know how you get on with it. I want this lens for superwide when i go vegas.

4.5 isnt that open though, anyone had any issues with this?

Can lead to noisy pics, not always a bad thing, depends what ya lookin for. Noise can add loads of atmosphere to an image. Check out my club galleries, 95% are taken with the 10-20..

If you want something FAST, get the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8. The fastest and sharpest ultra wide angle currently available to the APS-C system. Sharp as a prime. I had mine imported for £320 tax free.

For about the same price as the Sigma you get a huge increase in resolution especially in the borders. Not essential for club work but vital for landscape. A constant f/2.8 aperture so you can make a lot more use of the ambient light as well as depth of field control. The only downside is you lose some zoom at the long end.

what about the sigma 20mm f/1.8 prime? anyone got any experiences with that?

Slight distortion, very poor resolution for a prime.

okk, avoiding that one then.

Sigma 15mm fisheye?

Very nice lens. Not all that fishy on the APS-C system though. If you want to go fish take a look at the Sigma 10mm f/2.8 Fisheye.

hmmm, whats the viewing angle of the 15mm on an aps-c if you know?

i read about 110 but im not entirely sure if thats correct or not.

I can get that one way cheaper, and i dont mind if its not overly fishy, ive still seen some good results with it on APS-C on flickr (although like you said its not as fishy)

it seems to verge more on ultra-wide rather than full on fisheye. hmmmmm.
