DEADMAU5 LIVE

What does the "live" bit mean? (a dead live mouse. Interesting!)

He's not DJing but actually creating the tunes live with synths?

I've heard a lot about deadmau5, and obviously I know he's a big name.
I've just listened to his essential mix and it send me to sleep, so no, definitely no my thang.

I hope he wears the big mouse head thing for lols though

I hope he ears the mopuse head too!!

He didnt have it on in Ibiza but then it was quite a bit hotter there!!

He was much better Live than his Essential Mix imo aswell.

Venue is a big warehouse skatepark (main room is inside the halfpipe) with 2 smaller rooms as well and a big outdoor terrace which juts out into the river, altogether can hold about 1300 people.

Alight Scott!

Yeah it was a very good night. The new main room is such a big improvement and easily double the size of the old one. The soundsytem in the main room was loud as well especially in the middle of the dance floor. The decor in the main room was great too with massive video screens, uv paintings, lazers, and inflatables all over the walls. Quite trippy really. THe dj box is now in a different place making it easier to see.

Deadmau5 was pretty good and much better than when I saw him in Ibiza! His mouse head gimmick was pretty cool with eyes that flashed to the beat in either red or blue and he played most of his tunes! He also played a version of Knights of Cydonia by Muse which I'd not heard before.

Better than Deadmau5 though was Riton imo who followed him. He started off playing some pretty banging techno before moving to a bit more funky and party stuff like Yello - The Race. Deffo conna make an effort to see him again in the future.

The third room is also improved and is now a bit bigger and with a better soundsystem. Didnt really spend much time in the second room becausse I was really enjoying the main room or chilling outside.

Luckily they had covered over the terrace so you could go outside still especially as it chucked it down.

The only real complaint was how busy it was as the bottlenecks in Motion (espicially trying to get to the terrace) are still there and how long it took to get served at the bar Luckily it thinned out a bit once Deadmau5 finished giving you much more space to get from a to b and to dance in the main room.

All our mates had a great time so top marks all round! Lisa enjoyed it too even havent to put up with us drunken lot! Deffinately worth checking out the new motion at the next big event they do there!

Sounds good, Riton sounds like he might be one for me to check out too.

At a guess, that would be Reaky's remix of Yello. Got that, it's a great remix.

I'll be at Motion for the Scream reunion in just over a months time to see it for myself.

Think I might be going to that too! I hope they open the main room and not just the two smaller ones.

Its the night before I love Techno though so got to catch the Eurostar to Belgium pretty early doors! So may skip iy to save myself for that.

You're probaly right as I've got remixes by Derrick May, Tomcraft and Flim Flam and I dont think it was any of those. Ill check it out tonight. Cheers

Dont be f*cking insane.
It sounds as it will be all the old faces! You gotta show up fella. Even if its only for a couple of hours.
Sleep on the eurostar.

Yeah I know really want to go but the sat involves 7 hours of travel followed by 7 hours of raving followed by another 7 hour return trip. We were planning on drinking on the eurostar on the way so sleep is not an option and want to be fresh for the event.

Ill probaly come and not get battered as suggested though. One that never crossed my mind believe it or not! I know CLare wants to go so I dont mind driving for once!
