LOL, that's what I thought too. You can't help but wonder what the age distribution was in that survey when a Rubik's Cube still comes in at number 7, or that a bottle of de-icer comes in at number 34, while the iPhone 3G only comes in at number 38.

The Rubik's Cube was a great present... about 25 - 30 years ago.

Anyway, I'll have to be boring and say my favourite present was a bike, I remember being so happy when I unwrapped it on Christmas day.

HAHAHAHA how good is that! I would love one of those.

I have five little rubber ducks in my house. We have decided that on new years day when we are really trashed and coming home early hours... we are going to take the rubber ducks down by the river in york and set them free.. Filming it for youtube of course haha

My best Christmas pressie and the one my parents regretted the most was my dad giving me his old technics separates and a small pair of bookshelf speakers a number of years ago, it wasn't even a proper pressie to them as they had got me something else and he was getting rid of it anyway but to me it was heaven. Killed it all now except the speakers which I use for mixing but still think back fondly to that "loudness" button which made my house shake.

Generally speaking the more common the gift, the less meaningful and thus less great it is.

A microscope. I'd wanted one for years and one year I finally got it.

Probably a bike. I can still remember getting my first one. My dad had got it second hand and did a really nice job repainting the frame.

I spent hours playing Defender on one of these:

the Atari 2600 'wood grain' console, although that was more of a family Christmas present.

Apart from the Raleigh Strika I got one year, this has to be the best present ever!
