Wasn't aware of these!

There's 45 Intel items in total. It's fun looking for the, although if I get stuck finding some I always check on YouTube where they are. :P

Only search for them on the easiest difficulty, otherwise you're not going to get anywhere without being shot to bits.

I think I've nearly completed the campaign. Once I have I will start searching for the Intel items or start it on veteran.

Managed to do another Special Ops mission on veteran. They're quite tricky!

they put more into the multi player modes.

of course it's primarily an online/MP game so in a way we're actually lucky to get a single-player campaign at all! also with the rise in casual gaming (pah) there's a lot of people who would actually prefer a shorter game - they don't have, or won't commit, the time required to trudge around ES4 Oblivion (for example) for hundreds of hours.

i just got MW2 (whoop!) and i'm pleased with the level of support for offline players - the required firmware update is included on the game disc and it looks like all the trophies can be collected in offline play, which is unusual for a MP title. plus the Spec Ops mode adds a lot of longevity.

true which is a shame, but suprisingly MW2 campaign even though short, is pretty spectactular as well :) You think that every "wow" moment you've just had can't be topped when the next level really does it. I bloody love it!

Agreed, the quality of the scenes make up for it.

Modern Warfare was the same; all achievemenst/trophies could be obtained offline.

Anybody played the news modes that were put in with the update?

Mosh-pit mode is brilliant, it's nice to jump around doing different modes, saves the hassle of backing out all the time.

Bit gutted about some of the levels, to much camping going on. Favela FTW!

I've not reached the level where that is unlocked yet! I've hardly played it online at all. lol

certainly the PS3 version didn't have any online trophies - because it didn't have any trophies at all!

they weren't on the game disc and IW decided not to patch.

i'm not too fussed about trophies really, but in MW2 they're either a good track of your progress or short/fun challenges. took a while to get the Pit Boss one (run The Pit with a final adjusted time of under 30 secs) but i cracked it in the end. B)

definitely a case of quality over quantity, which is fine.

is it really that short though? i mean i got through the story on Regular difficulty in one day but i assumed that was because i am a Gaming God. ;)

I was trying to do that earlier. I got a bit frustrated so just carried on playing. If you get 60% accuracy or above you get 3 seconds deducted from your final time.

Currently going through it on veteran difficulty. That and swapping between Special Ops and multiplayer.
The Special Ops missions have got seriously hard! Then again, I am doing them solo.

It is short, unless you're playing it on Veteran. That adds a lot more game time!

I've found 25 so far, I think. I'll look for them properly after I've completed it on veteran.

Go to the Special Ops and do the races! :)

i must admit i got a bit OCD about it...! i managed to do it in under 35 seconds to get three stars in Spec Ops but to get the trophy you need the +ve accuracy bonus in the campaign mode. it's best to do it with a pistol i think - the M9 (92F) has a good sized mag - and take another pistol as your secondary to save you doing one reload.

i've beaten the first two levels and last one on Veteran, and a couple of others on Hardened.

my Yakuza 3 import arrived so i'm mainly playing that now, but will come back to MW2 and play through on non-pussy diff. :)

From what I've read it is best to do it with a automatic weapon with a large magazine. Use that, making sure you only use 1 bullet per target, then move on to your side arm when you run out. Also make sure you don't fuck about reloading.

I've only completed the first 2 levels on veteran so far. I decided to get off the 360 then. I had been playing it 5 hours. :P

Oh yeah, for those who used to get frustrated with the infinite respawns of enemy soldiers in previous Call of Duty games, especially when on veteran difficulty might like to know that they've stopped that in Modern Warfare 2.
No more trying to get to a certain point with endless enemies coming towards you. They've instead decided to use more intelligent AI behaviour.

I didn't know about this myself until about 5 minutes ago. Good to know though!

my best time was 32 secs and that's only because too many times my assault rifle spits out 2 bullets per target instead of one. this is the difficult bit to master. when I approach the guy you need to knife I change to M9 and continue with it. when your accuraccy is 80% you get 4 secs taken off your time.

its ok, played it thro single player on all but veteran pretty quickly and then switched to multi. only prob with pc is the switching servers carry on, but its not too shabby.

just dont have x box live on my antique xbox.

my pc is over 3 years old and the graphics get handled no problem, minimal lag on war games but do able.
