Writing Lyrics....
Pretty much sums up the desperate and pitiful state of popular music right now.

I think Chris Bridges (Luda) probably wrote his own bit, but the rest, that is just awful. Nice to see Tricky making a contribution to shit music even though he looks like a total waster these days.

I think people are running out of ideas. There's only so many lyrics/musical notes in the world. Plus if you're always banging on about love/losing love you narrow the field even further.

...and there's always the fact that if music exec's keep putting 10-year old mop-haired drips like Bieber in the limelight, we're never likely to endure any lyrics more creative than "baby oooh yeah", due to the fact that their life experience doesn't extend much further than the "OMG ur so fit xxx" text they once recieved from a girl in the same classroom they were once in.

people Just need to think outside the box. One of the most successful tracks ever, Thriller, was about zombies and that.

He's got a pretty face and it's a catchy song; That's all that matters to his shallow fans.

"1, 2 Scooby Doo, wanna' get down, boogaloo!"

Hang on a mo, they're both shit. And why is everyone complaining about music written for children? Do you all watch children's television too and complain about how it's not as good now you're not eight?

This could be a good thread.

Firstly, stevie100 has a point: music generated for kids will hardly worry Burns or Keats. Kids' music wasn't ever supposed to.

But there are some fucking terrible lyrics out there..

"...I'm afraid of the dark, especially when I'm in the park...."
