TV Psychic - Maddies Dead (ws)
I don't know who's worse, the psychic, the Sun for publishing or the Telegraph for jumping on the bandwagon......

telegraph.co.uk

The medium, who has allegedly “sickened” the McCann family with his predictions, said the little girl would soon be reincarnated after joining the “spirit world”.

Mr Acorah, 62, said: “I know her parents are convinced Maddie is alive and I’m really sorry – but the little one has been over in the spirit world for some time.”

In a bizarre interview, based on information Mr Acorah claimed he had received from a spirit guide, he told the Sun newspaper: “I don’t think it’ll be long before she reincarnates.

“When children pass over who haven’t had full lives I believe they choose the time to come back in the same form again – as another little girl.”

The newspaper quoted a source close to the McCann family as saying: “Kate and Gerry are sickened. This character Derek Acorah is nothing but a self-publicist.

A spokesman for the couple added: “Kate and Gerry believe their daughter is alive and the Metropolitan Police are currently pursuing an investigation to that effect.

“If anyone credible has any credible evidence that she is alive they would come forward.”

Mr Acorah, who used to host television show “Most Haunted”, added he was surprised his comments had upset Madeleine’s family.

“I would hate to offend or upset the McCanns as a parent myself,” he said.

He has claimed he received his information from a spirit messenger called Sam, shortly after Madeleine vanished from a Portugal holiday resort five years ago.

He said he had been asked to travel there to assist with the search, but had contacted Sam to seek guidance before leaving.

He said: “I sat in my meditation room and I asked the spirit world and Sam confirmed she was dead. It is horrible but he said there was no purpose for me to go there.”

Mr Acorah added he did not travel to the Praia da Luz resort to spare the McCann family any unnecessary suffering.

“I wasn’t going to bring extra misery to them,” he said. “I do know that they will find out what happened to Maddie one day.”

Mr Acorah, who made his comments to the Sun while promoting his latest tour, is proclaimed “without question, the number one television psychic in the UK” on his website.

He rose to fame on “Most Haunted”, where he would communicate with spirits, before moving on to present “Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns”.

The McCann family, who have released a photograph showing what they believe their daughter looks like now on the fifth anniversary of her disappearance, hope a new police investigation will allow them to finally discovery what happened.

I saw that. It's really sad!

If I was the parents I would be hacked off to see that on the front of the papers.

At lest they know what's happened to her now and can finally close the book up on her short life.

If they're that fussed, they can always go and check where they buried the body.

Playing devil's advocate here, we have no proof at all that he is lying.

We have no proof that he talks to the spirits of dead people. We just have his word. No evidence ever. No mysteries solved, no revelations, no locations of bodies, no truth about how someone died, or where they are buried. Just vague selective snippets of probable information that anyone could come up with.

All of these psychics seem to claim to be in contact with the dead, and yet for some strange reason the dead suddenly go all coy and shy whist in purgatory, not wanting to say much other than maybe give the first letter of there name, a diamond ring, a vague family argument, a holiday recently, moved house, someone's had cancer etc. You'd think that making contact with the world they have left behind would bring out all sorts of talk and discussion, but no, just a letter.

Derek Acoraha is a sick spiteful cunt

I'm fucking sick of hearing about Maddie, 6 kids just died in a fire, is anyone going to be talking about them in a few years time? Probably not because their parents were both pikeys unlike the middle class McCann's who have somehow managed to cosy up to the media and have half the country act as their support group, if anything the whole saga is their fault anyway and I no longer have that much sympathy for them.

Of course not, they were northern & poor.

Home counties & middle class, that's what gets you the airtime.

They had pretty much the half of crimewatch dedicated to her the other week after spending tax payers money generating a "what she'd look like now" image. I think the image would be more accurate if it showed a decaying corpse at the bottom of the sea personally.

The whole thing campaign is designed to ease their guilt, as soon as they concede she is probably dead they have to deal with the shame and guilt that they failed to protect their daughter and are responsible for her death. While they carry on with all this "we're sure she's alive" crap they can delay the admission of that guilt. Even if she was kept alive, she is probably one of the most famous missing people of all time after Shergar and Lord Lucan, whoever took her would have offed her the following week without question.

Whether whoever the fuck he is really believes that some girl called Sam told him about Maddie, what use did he really think it would be going to tell the media.

Hate 'psychics' with a passion.

I have no children at all, obviously therefore I have no understanding of anything or compassion for anyone, and my opinion on this matter is totally void.

The thing is they can't be held responsible for her death, if she is dead. Chances are she is but if I was a parent and my child went missing I wouldn't want to assume they were dead until proven as I'm sure none of you would!

The whole reason Maddie has got and is still getting a great deal of media attention is because the journalists who were writing about her and covering the story were from middle class backgrounds* and they felt absolutely shocked that something like that could happen to people like the McCans. Kidnaps are of course only something which happens to lower class families. It didn't help with the whole Shannon Matthews thing and about how the whole kidnap in that scenario was actually the parents fault!

It is unfair the treatment which the media give different families - like the recent one with the 6 children in the house fire. The BBC and Guardian were really nice about it and just reported the story, but the Daily Fail had to go into detail about the father being on Jeremy Kyle and even posting the video up and they had to bring the benefits scrounger angle into it!

Baaah media rant that has lost all meaning over.

*At least so the source I read tells me, but I am unsure of its reliability.

I'm just suprised that they still, after all these years, were not charged with Neglection of a child, or Child Abondonment. It's shocking.

No-one would want to assume that but every day that goes by the chances of her being found alive decrease. I am not saying that they should simply forget about her or not pursue her but after all the exhaustive investigations and sightings and theories if she hasn't been found now then the police should just concentrate on solvable crimes, let them continue to fund their own hunt for her themselves if they're so convinced she's alive and let it go. There are plenty of other missing children that have probably only had a little "missing persons" box under a comic strip in the local rag that probably COULD actually be found if they had the same publicity, I don't see why they're worth any less than Maddie.

Didn't they announce today that the fire had been started deliberately?
