It was an amazing first night, the crowd were with us all night, no trouble and the music was rocking - there was air con there were just alot of people! There were problems with the cloak room but as it was our first night I think it went really well and the problem will be sorted for next time. It was 15.00 on the door not 25.00 and we did sell out so I'm happy!

yeah mate it was a good night despite minor problems everyone left happy, but the real work is about to begin. It takes time to build a club and every major independant club i know has its hiccups.

We iron them out and move on. Whatever anyone wants to say what we are about to do this year with the club is good for independant clubbers in thanet and surrounding areas. It is also good for margate as a whole, gets people talking about us.

We as promoters and independant club operaters need to support the cause even if the cause does not directly benefit us.

New bars like Kabuki are a welcome site for margate we need more to really establish margate as a destination night spot and shed aside the past history.

I intend to do my bit as i know i can

Eli

I've said it once an i'll say it again, Saturday was awsome, yes there were small glitches, but that is to be expected. i have never seen such dedication and hard work go into producing something that turned out to be so special, i feel proud to be involved in my own small way and hope that the future events become something for the people of thanet to embrace and enjoy as i did, ROLL ON 2............

BBC NEWS WORLD EDITOR
EARTHQUAKE ROCKS THANET
A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit in the early hours last night.
Epicentre: Millmead Estate Margate. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering'facking ell' and 'whatta cant'. The earthquake decimated the area causing approximately 30 pounds worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from the Balearics and Spanish Costas were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their giro arrived.
KMFM News (State Radio Station) reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered, still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Margate.
One resident - Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15 year old single mother of 5 said 'It was sucha shock, my little Chardonnay Mercedes came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Megan-Storm slept through it all. I was still shaking when I was watching Kilroy the next morning.' Apparently though looting, muggings and car crime did carry on as normal.
The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Stella to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching throught the rublle and have found large quantities of personal belongings, which include benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and Bone China from Poundland.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing, parcels for those unfortunate to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after, items mopst needed include: Fila or burberry baseball caps. Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers) Shell suits (female), White sport socks, Rockport boots and any other items usually sold in Primark. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all thesame. Required foodstufs include Microwave meals, tins of baked beans, ice cream and cans of Colt 45 or Special Brew. 22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms, 2 pounds buys chips, crisps and blue fizzy drinks for a family of nine, 5 pounds will pay for a packet of B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected. Please do not send tents for shelter, as the sight of posh housing is unfair on the population of neighbouring areas of Westgate, St Lawrence and Manston. **Breaking news** Rescue workers found a girl in the rubble smothered in claret- 'where are you bleeding from?' they asked - 'FANIT' said the girl 'woss that gotta do wiv it?'

It takes a lot of vision and creation to come up with something like Sugar.

It's not just somewhere to have a 'drink' from the minute you walk in the door you can feel the vibe.

This place is about celebrating the music. Having a night out that your a) going to remember, (yes, thank you even in Thanet!!!) b) and you can't wait to go again! A venue that will go from strength to strength!!!

An amazing thing for Thanet but more than well worth the travel from any distance!

I recently took pics at another venue (outside of Thanet) the night was good because of the music but I can not begin to tell you how disappointed I was, that more than half the people there didn't even know what they had come to! The buzz just wasn’t there!! It just felt like any other bar except for the great sounds!

I take a lot of club pictures, it's an environment I adore and it has been a long time since I have seen the calibre of Sugar, the dress code is exceptional, the staff all enjoy being there you can see their pride in the service! The bouncers are on top form and most of all the music is pure heaven and on any given weekend you know that it caters for most tastes.

The walls of all three bars resonate with the passion in which it was created! You can see the enjoyment on everyone’s faces!

It is exactly what and where a club should be!!! It has brought a lot of different people together for one amazing goal and I have no doubts that it will achieve everything and beyond that it sets out to do!!!!
