Break da House 2nd Birthday are proud to present - Meat Katie present VibratorAn exclusive Bournemouth 'live' performance of Vibrator, Meat Katie's forthcoming artist album.

''Five years on from Meat Katie’s seminal ‘Long to Belong’ album the world famous DJ / Producer returns with his third studio long player, ‘Vibrator’.

Meat Katie has over the last 10 years forged a name as one of the leading figures in both the world of breaks and house. His DJ schedule from the last few years looks like a complete list of the world’s capital cities and his extensive touring in Asia, Australia, USA and Europe has led to the development of a global fanbase. In the UK he has remained a regular at London’s Fabric, while building the hugely successful Hum night with Rennie Pilgrem. He also guests regularly in every major city around England.

Meat Katie’s recent DJ compilations include his Fabriclive 21 album and his Bedrock Breaks mix both of which were a critical and commercial success and were toured extensively.

And so to the new album…. Meat Katie has done what he does best, making tech edged, funk laden, electronic dance music. Collaborating with some of the hottest talent around he has created a rounded package that encompasses breakbeat, house, techno and electro. From the soaring vocals of ‘Turn Me Out’ or ‘Round and Round’ to the heads down deepness of ‘Just Don’t Break’ this is an album that stretches the fabric of dance music. Featuring the likes of D Ramirez, Elite Force, Katherine Ellis, Roland Clark, Christian J, Odissi, Aquasky, Jono Fernandez and Justin Drake (Peace Division), not to mention Meat Katie’s own remix of Peace Division’s ‘It’s Here It’s now this album draws from every element of dance music.

The Initial singles from the album ‘NuTron’ and ‘Divine’ have both seen top 3 DMC Buzz chart placements, coolcuts placements and extensive Radio 1 play from the likes of Pete Tong, Fergie, Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac and Tayo and with future singles lined up with remixes from some of the biggest names around (Robbie Rivera, Funk D’Void, Marco Bailey etc) the support from radio and press is sure to continue in the same vein.

In the ever changing world of music Meat Katie has stepped up with what will almost certainly be one of the defining albums in dance music this year. There are no ‘downbeat fillers’ here, no ‘ambient interludes’ or ‘amusing skits’ this is dance music at it’s strongest, defiantly edgy, hugely appealing and made for those who like their electronica with a bit of bounce.''

Yes this all sounds most excellent and worthy of the 100 mile trip up from devonland westcountyshire, after four months travelling the world and finding that no-one parties like us British, I'm ready for some of the old funked-up Breaks-in-your-face action of the bourne variety - be hoping to see the old faces there on friday... lit up as ever - you know it makes sense...

CJ out... - (and whoever's takin photos - i'm in desperate need of a new one......)
