I've had to put things on hold for a while, but have recently been thinking of having another bash at spotting.

The one thing that has kind of been holding me back from doing it again is my age - I'm 40 and while it's not that old (I certainly don't feel 40 inside), I do wonder if it's too old for this malarky. I'm capable of doing it, but is there an age where people don't really take you seriously?

I'm 42.

Clubbing 'alone' can be enhanced by a little activity on DSI during the week. The atmosphere the DSI/MIXMAG regulars had going at the Vibe Bar recently was very very agreeable. And yes I turned up on my own - met Tim(MrJonesMrJones - the Pro Spotter) in the queue - and then things just rocked on from there! Awesome party!!!

I always used to go out on my own but recently have been taking my lad for some backstage action I am to old for.

I guess if you are a regular, you get to know people on the scene, so you're not exactly there on your own. I guess.

I am one of the shy peeps. It's a right pain in the arse at times.

This talk of age reminds me back in around 1988 - 1990 ish, there was this chap in his 60s who was often in the clubs in Bristol (usually Studio though), and was often seen chatting to the girls. He probably saw more action than I did...

I'm 45 and still go clubbing and spotting (when I'm not working abroad). I've no intention of giving it up yet.
