Er.......evidently NOT!

"We were able to show that there was contact between the goalkeeper and Eduardo and that the decision of the Uefa disciplinary body should be annulled.

Oh come on, it was clearly a dive. Whether or not he deserved the ban is another matter.

I think it's fair. If he would have been banned, then they should have done the same to Rooney in the following match.

Even if there was the slightest of contacts as he started to go down, it was still a dive. But as Stew says, in retrospect I think it would probably be unfair for him to get banned as others who have commited similar offences have not. But I hope something gets done to prevent these kind of dives.

By finding him guilty it then undermines the referee's decision to give the penalty. He know's he dived as does everyone else including spec savers wenger. A ban maybe harsh but all this does now is gives the green light for players to continue diving.

What UEFA should do is show the proof of contact so at least they can come out of this with some integrity.. otherwise as I say, it stinks of them not wanting to go against their referee's decision.

undermines them completley in my opinion, probably shit out at the backlash and didnt want to deal with the "why hasnt he been banned then" every time a player dived in tonights round of champions league games.

in retrospect, this was probably always going to be overturned.

Well UEFA have Andy so we should all just let it go. I know there are a few on here that won't want to. Any excuse to have a go at Arsenal.

To be honest i used to hate Arsenal a few years ago but now they're not really a threat to United's domestic dominance, i don't mind them so much

Can't really argue with that at the moment, wish I could but the evidence is there to agree with your statement, although it pains me to admit it. Something has to change, we need a new keeper!!

UEFA opened a can of worms and then shut it. Incompetent idiots. Have the balls to see it through if you are going to charge someone with diving.

Sorry, but Eduardo is a complete c**t.

Diving is one thing but having the balls to this morning claim that he has been vindicated and he never dived makes him an even bigger c**t.

It's like OJ saying he wouldn't rest until he finds the real killer.

If you get away with something, shut the f**k up and don't rub it in people's faces.

I could hear the screeching of brakes and crunching of reverse gear from here.......politicians have set the bench mark for all to follow in their wake,lies/cheating/about turns/adjustable eyesight/hearing etc all the syptoms of becoming too rich, important, high profile. Coupled with the average IQ of a footballer being single figures it`s safe to say that`s a volatile and explosive mix.So Eduardos `vindication` Adebayors `apology`are totally seethrough and bland attempts at damage limitation.

The bigger problem is not believeing what your eyes tell you,if you think the Eduardo incident was not a dive then there goes the soul of football(whats left).
