I worked as a bars supervisor at global 2 yrs ago and it was if i can remember £3 a can, we did kronenbourg, smirnoff ice and strongbow, water was bout £2, spirit and mixer £3.50...jd and vodka available. Most bars are payg and your likely to find some in the tents but that may change this year with elf n saftey. Hopefully it won't be £4 a can thats a rip off. Global are selling crates of beer on the website for £30 which works out at £1.25 a can which you really can't complain!!!

I'm only coming on the saturday and saw the crates of beer for £30 on the global website which i assumed were just for people camping, but a mate tells me he's bought one of them anyway even though he wont have a camping ticket!!! And i'm pretty sure if people do buy these in the camping area, you wont be able to take the cheap beers past security into the actual event (like at slammin vinyl recently) although it wasn't hard to walk through with a can in the back pocket ;)

Can anyone confirm this 100% as i don't want to get there and find out i could of got discounted beers and i missed out!

This is the one thing that puts a big downer on every big rave or festival i go to. It takes a whole lot of beer to get me pissed and when they are charging £3.50 or £4 a can of warm carlsberg it's gonna cost an absolute fortune. I can get 8 cans of carlsberg for a £5 at spar so god knows how much they pay for them buying in bulk!!! probably about 30p a can :'(

on the most recent flyers the camping policies outlines that no alcohol is allowed into the campsite, however last year it seemed you were aloud to take any alcohol in as long as it isnt glass
