Very interesting, it's not just happening with photojournalism though its happening in all other media based industries as well.

Cool taa.

Seen a few of my Photography blogs/news feeds proclaiming the death/change of the "Photo journalist" of late

Lots seems to be due to the Pool system + Interning of press in military units in conflict zones.
All changed after Vietnam.

In the first world war there were 3 official photographers for the entire front and all their work was censored before release. A bit like what we have now.
