Dj mag top 100 leaked again
The illustrious DJ Mag Top 100 is a fabled event on the dance music calendar, with DJs young and old jostling with each other for chart contention. Keeping with tradition, it would seem as though the results for the annual poll have once again been leaked on the of their scheduled release, sending forums and message boards into a veritable tizzy as trainspotters pour over the (supposedly legit) list of winners.
Comparing this and last year’s Top 10 reveals no massive change in dominance, with heavy-hitters like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten flexing their euphoric trance muscles in some of the top spots. Yet looking closely at the vanguard of the list reveals a few interesting bits, with club maestro Deadmau5 barging up the list to No.6 and David Guetta tracking higher than ever at No.3, clearly losing no sway with the DJ Mag voters despite crossing over into pop territory this year.
Beyond the top 10 we can see plenty of changes happening, with club mainstays Cosmic Gate and Steve Angello having bumper years, both moving up 43 spots on the list.
Check out the leaked results below – rounded out to a Top 150, no less.

Andy C only represents one style of DnB, of which there are many who would question whether he's the best DnB DJ. Whilst I wouldn't question his skill, he hasn't exactly pushed the boundaries much in recent years

1 style of dnb? his main style is jump up, but he plays liquid sets and also does go slightly darker when booked at renegade hardware? Fair enough he doesnt go extremely dark, but he would play it darker than he would at 1nation?

But he doesn't represent the Liquid DnB scene. A fan of that sound would chose the like of Marcus Intalex over Andy C every day of the week.
DnB is split into around 3 factions (Liquid, Jump Up & Minimal-Hardstep) Andy C only truly represents 1
of those. Hence in a world wide voting situation of all listeners (not just the Jump-up as is usually the case) he doesn't get such a concentration of votes.

He has been the biggest faller this year too, from 50 down to 100. Maybe he's just not as popular as he used to be

its like the twins are still in xfactor! they cant sing & others with better talent gets booted out so as someone said earlier said, its a popularity contest and fans who can actually be bothered to vote.

not surprised at the results at all this year and line up is rubbish for the awards tomorrow too, not sure if i could be bothered this year...

1 style of dnb is bullshit, you clearly haven't listened to him extensively at all. he plays a bit of everything in every set pretty much, from the campest high contrast nonsense to stuff like dirge by spor et al, granted he doesn't play current value/spl stuff but then, dear god, why would you. that's why he's the number 1, because he appeals to everyone. and he is far more technically gifted than chris liebing.

...there's still only 1 female DJ in the Top 100! Speaks volumes about this industry whether it's a valid poll or not! I'm guna contact endemol and see if they wanna do a test reality tv series....what does a female DJ need to do to get into the Top 100...that would be lots of fun and may answer the questions of many people!!
