Frantic NYE - Thank You
Firstly a Big Thank you to all the DJs, Clubbers, and Staff who helped make Frantic NYE 2007 another great Hard House gathering…

When we decided to put Frantic on for NYE all the usual Frantic venues like the Fridge, Koko and the Academy were booked. We decided to look high and low for a different space that would allow us to book our favourite DJs and throw one unforgettable party!

After a long search we found a place full of character behind Liverpool St Station. We then worked for many weeks to design a look and feel that would make the place come alive.

When we started the build on Saturday the space was completely empty, so we had to bring in everything from the award winning Line Array Sound to the 40 Light Effects, the Seating, the Heating, the Toilets and all the staging…We actually had 12 people work all day on NYE to set things up.

While we have already had lots of positive comments about everything from the character of the old warehouse to Mark EG and Cally’s set there are 3 things we will improve for next time:

1) The Main Room opened late. Unfortunately the Sound Company were late arriving with the final part of the sound system and this meant that they didn’t complete the set up in time. We can only apologise and will ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

2) The Toilets. We did try and book the toilets you find in the VIP area at Global and other festivals but as we were late to decide on the gig all the suppliers of Toilets had already booked out this type of Toilet. We will ensure we get these flushing toilets with running water and basins next time.

3) The Cloakroom was too small. Next time we will increase the cloakroom capacity by at least 30%.

4) The Power Cuts in the Main Room. The Main Power Cut was caused when somebody went behind the barriers and pulled the plug out of the wall. Unfortunately as it was a large venue it took our electrician time to find that this was the problem and put the plug back in. We can only apologise that something so simple interrupted your NYE partying…

We would like to invite all who attended and the many who couldn’t to our annual FREE Payback Frantic vs Moondance Party at Hidden this Sat 5th Jan. Please email full names to willfrantic@yahoo.co.uk.

Finally we would like to offer the first 100 who go to www.ticketweb.co.uk on Monday 7th January £5 limited edition discount tickets for Timeless 6 on Sat 23rd Feb. Just use the promo code ThankU08.

I went to AWsum and came home dissapointed, the music was the only good thing there
As for NYE, I wanted to see ADAM and PROTEUS so I chose frantic over STORM which is much closer to home and I gave you guys a second chance......... I don't think I need to repeat all the comments people have made above. I'm just completely disappointed the main person I came to see couldn't even complete his set through no fault of his own!

I will not be attending another one of your events as I do not want to risk wasting my money on another poorly organized event - I mean the silly balloon things on the ceiling in the main room weren't even fully inflated when you eventually let us in!

FRANTIC CAN PUT ON A GOOD ROOM AT SOMEONE ELSE'S EVENT BUT DONT HAVE A CLUE WHEN IT COMES TO PUTTING ON THEIR OWN EVENT , I COULD DO BETTER MYSELF !!

I doubt this very much, Frantic are a great organisation and have been going for many years putting on hundreds of fantstic partys , I went to the party, I thought personally it was awesome.

With new types of venues there are always teething problems, I thought that yes it could have been better production wise as it was too dark but i thought over all it was a great night.

instead of posting negitive comments such as this i would recomend that you email them directly.

From what I heard it sounded like hardstyle not really my cup of tea.

If u think that was Hardstyle then u dont know ya genre of music very well to be honest. Im sure they will tell u the same.

Audiohedz play a mixture of filth and power bounce....basically fast and furious!!! Just the way i like it...!!!

no audiohedz was the best set for me, mashing up the hardhouse and bounce. their best set yet imo

I agree mate!!! By far the best set of the night for me others hav said the same.....2008 gonna be a massive year for them no doubt about that.

FRANTIC COMPLETELY RUINED NYE 2007!

WILL, no poxy free party at Hidden of all places is going bring people back, the scene is utterly disgusted at the absimal display put on by a group money grabbers!!
Fuck off does it cost anywhere near £4 for a CAN of Fosters or Strongbow, and the fact that you only bothered to get 1 type of beer and cider is ridiculous! You ripped the shit out of our pockets on a night were every1 should have gone home happy!!

The toilets were disgusting and EXTREMELY unhygenic, not a single basin to wash your hands in, and it was pitch black inside!! I feel sorry for all the girls who had to use them!!

As for the music, the sound systems had to be from tesco or something, maybe asda, You could talk over it!! turbosound my arse!!
A BIG THANK YOU TO FRISKY or VANDELL, not sure which one of them was on at 3 am in the 2ND room, whoever it was, made what was left of a NYE celebration worth it!!
THE CLOAKROOMS - Dont you mean, a small whole in the wall with a bunch of gurning fuk heads running it!! SORT IT OUT!!

I had a brilliant time playing in the second room with Nicky D, it was ace! Thanks again for the booking Will, Chloe and Elvis! I loved playing and the second room had a really good atmosphere! Managed to play my new tune for the first time too (which if you missed it you'll have to wait for my next gig now!!) so I was very happy!! It was nice chatting to the people I had chance to after my set too.

I thought the venue was great, it had character and I can completely see where the Frantic team were coming from wanting to create an old skool warehouse feel and despite feeling unwell I had a great night.

See you all at HDS xxx

i have to agree with everyone else. the venue was different but a shit hole. the toilets and cloakroom were a joke! numerous health and saftey breaches going on. inc no place to wash hands! what!!
i cant ever see what the advantages of having a token system are.
the acoustics in the main room were terrible. sounds kept bouncing off the walls. no speakers at the back made it very quiet.
All dj's played well although people say whitby's set was great. i think maybe their being biast? he played crap compared to what he can do.

surely if the advertising says it goes on till 6am then it should. lights on at 5.15!! so what if the music went on the lights really drown the atmosphere

what twat of the earth pulls the plug out!!! although i only noticed 1 small generator powering the whole lot. i may be wrong but surely something on that scale needs more power?

but dispite all the hick ups the atmosphere was top noch, was with mates and we're all there for the same thing and thats whats important. i had a dam wicked night. but next time, frantic, stick to clubs. much respect for what you do but you can do much better than this.

those regular twist goers, how dissapointing was it having twist at hidden. it wasn't twist at all.

the parties make u happy coz u munch on happy pills...

sounds like your on a savage comedown yourself panda! ;)

Both Will and I are gutted that some of you were let down this NYE.

We take ALL comments on board and will use these to better improve future events so thank you for taking the time to come on here.

For those of you of you who feel strongly enough about the issues raised I would like to give you the opportunity to contact me direct either by email on chloe@udjs.net or by phone on 07788 456 530.

Unfortunately there just aren't enough venues in London to use for Hard House, this is why we will use and will continue to use new and unique venues and spaces. With this comes problems along the way which we are learning from and will go forward to make sure that any mistakes we do make do not happen again.

Will and I care very much about what you think and how we go from here. We put on events because we are passionate about the scene we work in which includes; The Music, The Artists, The Parties but most importantly You, the Clubbers.

It was the same sound system, ie the line array, that we used at Koko in August...But it is harder getting the acoustsics right the first time in a new space

I know there was many issues with the night but i pleased to say that none of them effected me. Drank as little as poss so didnt have to brave the toilets, managed to get my coat in the cloak room.

Had a wicked night, one of the best ive had in ages!! this is all due to the people that went. There was no attitude at all, every1 there was there to party and thats what makes a night for me.

It was like an old illegal rave. Loved it!!

Me and my mates had one of the best nights out in ages. The club was the best venue space, each room was nice in it's own way, the laser work well in the main room and the music was brilliant all night. This is the first time in a long time all of us was up dancing. (This never happens as were all so paticular with our music). I hope this space gets used again. Really loved playing the set with Caz, and giving out the demos & party poppers

There was a late start which meant April & Danny was delayed . Dean & Gordon kindly gave then some extra time and we did the same for them

I agree about the toilets should be seperate for ladies and men. The power cut didn't bother us too much as we was just chilling out when Tariq pulled out a sterio, which he used for the train journey up. The token system was ok. My mate bought £20 quids worth and had some left early on, so we bought a couple of tokens of him

Well done Frantic for making the best NYE yet !! Bring on Timeless

The STROBES would be my only gripe. In the main room they were horrendous. I am surprised nobody had a fit because of them. They were so OTT. I hated them so i had no choice but to dance at the side.

Apart from that i loved the venue. Yes better toilets would have been nice but it made it have a feel of a little festival which was fun.

OMG wot is going on here? Everyone seems to be having a go at Frantic for something they themseves couldn't begin to organise! For what Frantic achieved i thought it was pretty fooking awesome despite a few hiccups. All the problems you winey wotsits keep going on about have already been pointed out by the organizers so why keep reminding them?!
Since not many are gonna i would like to say THANK YOU FRANTIC!!!! keep it up! anyone with a bit of sense about wot you achieved in such a short space of time knows how well you guys done! Keep it up we want more!

Fair play to Frantic for trying to do something different - it's difficult when you haven't used a space before to work out the sound, lighting etc.

Plus, it's a warehouse so you have to expect some level of grim-ness! And of course it was going to be cold.

And Panda, why on earth are you having a go at someone because they managed to have a good night when you didn't? You need to calm down & leave the poor girl alone! Sort it out!

I'm sorry but what were your sound engineers doing? If they cannot make the music loud enough for people to hear or sort out the acosutics then they aren't really very good sound engineers are they? If i'd paid them I'd ask for my money back.

Firstly I think im right in saying that there was no other large hard dance night on in London on NYE. We all love these events because of the music, the atmosphere and the total experience. Some nights are better than others.
I thought that 2007 was a general improvement on 2006 in the hard dance scene.
Frantic are the biggest and most experienced hard dance promoters in the country. They have put on some of the most amazing nights I have been to and hope they will continue to listen (as they do) to the clubbers who manage to make the parties what they are.
I can understand that some people were disappointed about NYE 2007. However I know that Will and Chloe will listen and improve on the next parties.
Clubbing on NYE has never really been a great thing for me since I always expect more than other parties and I am generally disappointed. I much prefer to spend most Saturdays enjoying the music and the atmosphere.
I can imagine putting a party on NYE is a pretty hard thing to do. I can also imaging that trying to make a club out of a space is even harder. Finding a taxi is hard enough. Look at the cross. A great club, which had sold many tickets for its closing party on Jan 1st, had to pull the even on 16th December because there lease ran out. Also look at koko, (which we all remember and love as Camden palace) selling tickets for £100.
I HOPE FRANTIC WILL KEEP SUPPLYING GREAT PARTIES AND HOPE EVERYONE REALISES THAT IT’S THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THE PARTY AND WE ALL WANT ONE THING. GREAT HARD DANCE PARTIES IN THE CAPITAL.

Overall though I'd say to think of it like this - all the DJs turned up,

I heard they didn't. Can't remember which one but someone who was supposed to play in room 2 didn't show.
