Oh my god - i was SOOO dissapointed with the sound systems in the tents!!!
Was absolutely gutted that when went to se Armen Van Buuren i couldnt actually hear it!!! Two speakers at the front of the tent - is that it?!!?! Unless you were standing in front of the dj you were screwed - so dissapointed, we had to leave as no point in being in there!!!! I have better surround sound in my lounge!!! Pretty poor show when you showcasing worlds top DJs!

Luckily the first tune played by Carl Cox was worth my 40quid right there!!! A saviour, as always.....

Apparently the council placed VERY strict limits on the sound levels (residential area and all that) so the stage managers were stressing if the limits exceeded anything approaching listenable.

Funny to see andy moor telling the crowd to be quite after he 'nudged' up the volume for fear of the crowd causing them to pull the plug :-)

Christ it ends at 9pm, you'd think the residents could put up with it for a few hours! They get free tickets to the event anyway...

Unfortunately sound is always an issue at festivals, especially SW4. Have to look at it as a trip out to drink in the sun with your mates rather than a serious clubbing experience because of the clashes/sound.

Yeah I see more SW4 as a chilled day out in the park than a real festival !

how does that answer my question...? you mentioned "world class DJs" and now you're going on about the sound level...

Every year there is a petition against SW4 by the local residents and every year it goes to court and every year there are limits on the sound. Its just the way it is unfortunately!

well i think most people would agree that Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Erick Morillo, Sven Vath would be comsidered world class, surely?! Ok perhaps i should have added "in my opinion"

True the sound levels are disappointing but its Clapham, Clapham is full of cunts. Cunts tend not to like flk getting battered in their local park and playing techno. For the boys and girls of SW4 anything rougher and tougher than Hed andi is deviant and subversive. For christsakes they hired the Grand for the afterparty. What does that say?

It was however a nice little jaunt in the park and bought alot of people together. It was a giggle.
