i'm not too sure on my opinion to be honest. i like techno but the more minimal it gets the less i like it. i havent ever heard it in a club and would be willing to give it a go and then express my opinion on it.

but, as previously mentioned, the ever increasing numbers of genres confuses me a bit and i struggle to catorgorise tracks and sounds. i just like what i like i guess!

more thought goes into a Minimal track than would ever go into a Hard House track.

thats not very fair to say.

actually in clubs is pretty much the only place I have heard it

stop going to minimal nights? ;)

Minimal because its not as hard and is loads slower than it used to be so it is understandable but I personally would just call it Techno or if we really wanted to be picky, Italian Techno

but isn't Minimal actually Minimal Techno? and if his style is techno.... and its minimal... surely it is minimal techno?

the land of hardcore canTake its fuckin glow sticks and its shaggin dummies, or what ever they use to party with and just simply and swiftly shove them all firmly up their holes, its not music, its noise,

and that's EXACTLY why alot of hard dance/hardcore people hate minimal techno, for its sunglasses-inside-wearing, snarling, i'm-to-cool-for-anything-you're-into, up-there-own-arse, arrogant crowd. at least hard dance has a bit of fun.

i enjoy minimal in a club, i'm just not cool enough for it. obviously.

the hard dance scene is a funny old scene , the fans are die hards and will not let go of a sound and style of music from 10 years ago. there is so much bitchyness between the sub genres of hard dance its unreal , you just dont get that with techno and house ,

0ne of the main reasons hard dance fans think those of us who prefer slower bpm based music is that we go out and dont have to show we having a good time by wering certain outfits and waving glowsticks, we like to go out socialise chill chat with mates or loose your self on the dance floor which are some of the things you cant do with hard music as its to frantic.

the hard dance scene sticks to the same old formula and types of sounds its fans like. the fans wont let it progress and then they moan on about how hard hose ect is dead and everyone else has killed it off , the reason is that people got bored of it

the music isnt interesting and after 20 mins of it you heard all it has to offer , and its also got far to commercial

techno and house on the other hand are full of inovitive tracks made by the most talented producers dance music has to offer. the hard dance producers then come along and rip samples and remix with a harder kick and bass lines or rob ideas .

I remember going in the MOS arena at wildchild festival on a number of occasions and it was the most boring and annoying sound i'd ever heard in a club. Yep u guessed it - minimal.

Even the name is shit. Minimal - less of whatever was there before. I.e. techno that would have sounded good but got castrated.

If u like minimal fair play you've found somrthing that i can't but i listen to trance and hard house mainly and when i sit on the bus or wait in the que for the ATM i find myself covered in goose bumps and have to stop myself dancing like a loon in public (in silence). I can't imagine minimal doing that for me!

Lots of pretentious people migrate to the north cos they can't afford to live where mummy and daddy live e.g. students.
Some people wish they where the dogs bollocks so they dress like this in the vain hope someone will notice them and stroke them.
Others are actually waiting till i get my gaming license, in which case i can shoot them and claim its an accident (I was tring to shoot their mate with the 2 lines of "rave paint" on his cheek) and they will live on as minimal martyrs.
