McDonalds, "Chips" and the games
WHAT is this right old toss I've been hearing and reading about McDonald's, chips and the olympic games and them being the ONLY people able to sell "chips" while all other people have to sell them with fish or something retarded . . . Plus I though I'd heard previously that McD's wasn't allowed to call their product "Chips" and they had to call them "French Fries" or "Fries" as they didn't fit the criteria to actually be called "Chips" because they're blatantly not . . . At least in my books.

The worst of it is; the Athens pictures have been around for about 6 years. It didn't take too long for it to all fuck up. As for the people who have had their lives uprooted for a couple of weeks' worth of play......

How funny would it be if no one bought 'chips' from McDonalds.

Everyone should boycott them. Can't believe people let companies get away with this sort of shit.

I think it would get some UK support, however I doubt they'd have much stance with loads of people coming from all over the world who don't really care!

Choice?! Not everyone wants to eat McDonalds for lunch. There will be countless smaller food kiosks that will serve far better food. Are people supposed to cue up at those and then go and cue for McDonalds just to get chips?

The obvious answer is 'you dont have to have chips'.. but thats pretty bloody tight when chips are served with nearly everything these days, its what people want and expect.

Athens 2004 Olympic Legacy

Beijing 2008 Olympic Legacy

London 2012 Olympics... Good luck!

As damning as that looks i doubt London could go that way. Those countries have vast spaces of unused land and this just added to them. London isn't like that. If it fails at doing sport, it will be something else within 10 years.

Rightly so for the money they will have put in. Be more than the £600m in Tax savings anyway.

For the opening and closing ceremonies, maybe.

I love the fact that it was an event crew complaining. GO TEAM TECHIE!

'What do you mean I can't have chips with my lasagna sandwich?!'

Yeah, exactly. So, the members of the public still won't have the option.

My route to work is affected from yesterday with Olympic lanes and no go areas. I ignored it and made it to work quicker than normal.

I didn't drive in any marked lanes. Just went through an area that says avoid.
