Brighton City Festival launched in 2007 and after a hugely successful inaugural year which saw the likes of 2Many DJs, Laurent Garnier, Underground Resistance, Soulwax, Babyshambles, Grooverider, Green Velvet, Roll Deep,DJ Hype, Futureheads and too many more to mention, rock the dance floors in 8 venues around the city the festival is back for 2008.

The line-up is bigger and better this year, and the event now spans over 3 days across brighton premier venues. Thursday night will be a one wristband entry to all events while the rest of the festival will require different tickets to different gigs to guarantee that you get to see the artists you are interested in. There really is something for everyone – jazz, reggae, dance, Hip Hop, techno, Indie,electro,house, Soul, Funk and Electronica…

Brighton City Festival has firmly marked its place on the event calendar, you will be able to see a huge number of the best live and DJ artists on the festival and clubbing circuits in a variety of indoor venues without a portaloo or fancy wellie boot in sight. The concept is simple, but encapsulates the vibrancy that only cities like Barcelona, Amsterdam and brighton can only offer.

So how does this work, is the £25 just for Underworld at the Brighton Centre, or will that ticket also cover you for everything else on the friday too?

Looking forward to this. Gonna be an amazing weekend. I loved warming up for Green Velvet last year at the festival. He used my headphones for a mic so he could sing La La land etc. Great night!
