The debarcle that is Ghost...
I was really really looking forward to this event for a long time. Jaded has an amazing and up front music policy and always attracts a hot, clued-up crowd.

I was however rather annoyed by a few things once inside the venue. First of all, when you are given 'complimentary tickets' you don't expet to be told at the till that you now have to fork out £8.

Secondly, the cloakroom was a complete farce- on an opening night/morning for a party re-launch, you would assume that the cloakroom would prepare itself for large influx of punters, especially in such a cold month that is February!! This wasn't the case. I was there relatively early and was told that they would not expect bags as they 'did not have enough room'. This left me with no choice but to cart my sachel around with me for the entire morning. Incidently, why on earth do you have a cloakroom at the same desk as the club reception???

Lastly and most bizzarely, WHY ON EARTH was the managemnt for the club so damn paranoid? To stop or restrict entry to the club after 9am depite people leaving is just plain ridiculous. There were a number of people who were at various other club nights before Jaded and wanted to go home for a quick respite and to get changed. I am utterly amazed that a brand new club and all of it's investment put into it would decide to lose so much potential revenue on it's debut. If this is the club's policy, I have 2 suggestions for you- give up now or a least inform all punters of the time restrictions on club entry.

I was just discovering and getting into Jaded as a party just before the End's/AKA's closure and now I'm not sure anymore if I want to be part of this. I don't see THAT kind of nonsence at Egg or 93 Feet East. Sort all of this out now or you've lost me forever.

classic!

as for the bags, so many people take bags with them to put change of clothes / coat / whatever in, how can they say they weren't expecting them??! Especially at an afters when people are more likely to want to get changed!!

Or is it just me that doesn't want to be in the same clothes all night and the following morning?!

All shiny new venues have teething problems when they first open.

Im sure they will get it together over the next few weeks.
