lots of strange things going on regarding hed kandi and false advertising at the firestation, first it was on hed kandi site saying may 28th, that didnt happen, then a mixmag advert saying a june date - that didnt happen either. I am a close personal friend of "datman" mike artwell and he's playing exclusively for Milkshake in rm2 at the opera house on july 15th with the glamorous "Pushca" in the main room (see flier above) and is certainly NOT playing the firestation on this date as advertised at the top of this thread. What I want to know is - is this contrived mis-information or just incompetance on behalf of the organisers of this event, if indeed it is actually happening this time? I'm just concerned about the bournemouth club scene (and I thought I'd boost this thread up to 2 people watching.....)

hey dr-evil, i think you need to check out a bit of false advertising done by yourself there! 15th june is not on a saturday! It seems the flier you have added has the wrong date on, although you said it was july in your comment after! Just thought i would bring that to your attention!

I've just re-examinded the flier above and it clearly says 15th of JULY but I have got my sunglasses on. I will not entertain any suggestions of "doctored" artwork but yes my photoshop course is prgressing nicely thankyou

You can catch Hed Kandi on Ministry of Sound 2-4pm on Wednesday and 2pm - 5pm every Saturday Sky Channel 0198... or online www.ministryofsound.com

Their nights are rocking at the moment, lots of big things in store for Hed Kandi at the Fire station in Bournemouth.

Trust me!

i hope it does well.but £10 plus booking fee to go to the firestation i think is alittle steep for the bmouth posse.plus when students come back they wont pay that to get into their own venue.not when maison is cheaper.

I agree that the cost is high - if it was just a DJ and a few drapes.

Hed Kandi at the Fire station is going to be alot more than that.... you can mark my words!

hang on a sec...been a while since ive been to either night but isnt hedkandi soulful and maison more on the tech-jackin side??????
or is bournemouth still about going to be seen at the right gigs and not the music that gets played????
theres something wrong with that....the hedkandi brand does something different to maison...its asoulful house night...different crowd isnt it??????

What's 10 quid for a whole night of entertainment compared to the cost of a double vodka and redbull in Bournemouth??

£10 plus booking fee is way to much for people in bmouth.especially to go to the firestation.

I dont think it is-people are looking at the firestation as the student venue but with Hed Kandi we are looking at the venue as a place for peach of a party. 10 pounds may sound a lot for a student night, but thats not what Hed Kandi is. The dressing that we have at Hed Kandi will make people see the old firestation in a new light, i can promise you that

It all depends on the entertainment value you get for your 10 quid.

That is 2 drinks in a load of Bournemouth bars.... Look at it that way Positv, plus the Hed Kandi DJ's that are playing are working all over the world.

It's not like you're getting some unknown DJ's, Hed Kandi is the biggest house brand globally at the moment.
