Djs needed for Ministry Of Sound, Boat parties etc
Hi Guys,

Got lots of opportunities coming up. Thanks for those who helped out from my last email at Defected and Roger Sanchez on here

I've got opportunities to play at Ministry Of Sound with many top Djs coming up including Sasha, Armin Van Buuren and many more.

Please get in touch with me via rosssullivan1@hotmail.com if you are interested in playing. Im not on here much, so please don't bother pming me on dsi or replying to me on here.

Just email me with a bit about yourself and an online mix and i'll get back to you. Genres we are looking for include all things house, tech house, and electro and progressive. Ive also got a warm up slot on the november boat party this coming Sat. www.electronicsessions.co.uk

Many thanks
Sulli

In fairness I did have a response to a couple of previous event's he put on.....

But I live in Birmingham and he needed me to sell tickets to an event in London so it was a no go for me.....

You should not have to sell tickets to get sets, you should be booked because your a good dj.

That's like going to Covent Garden and complaining that it's always fucking opera.

To be fair, i emailed over a previous gig and got a response within minutes - result being i played at MOS for Defected in the House which was the best gig of my life!

All i can imagine is that if an ad like the one he has posted is displayed on a forum, he may just be overloaded with emails and is working through them

From what contact ive had with Ross he seems spot on so im sure if you emailed him he will get back to you

I replied to one of Sulli's emails back in May regarding a set at MOS, he got back to me and since then i have played for Electronic Sessions and Plastic Fondu at Ministry pretty much every month since, including one of their boat parties. It's also given me a lot of other gig's off the back of being on the bill for MOS regularly.

In regards to selling tickets to get gig's, until your big enough and made a name for yourself, this is what you have to do! It's not every day you get a chance to play at one of the worlds most renowned club's. There are plenty of good Dj's in London, so if you are one of them you should have a following and therefore not have a problem selling tickets. Right?

Anyway, i think if you have the hunger to become a bigger dj and progress you should jump at opportunities like this.

Also in regards to Sulli not replying, i'd give him a chance as i know i got a reply along with a lot of other Dj's who are now playing for them.

:)

L1oydie is right - Ross is a top bloke, gave me a break 2 years ago and now I hold residency with one of his nights and get a chance to play with top DJ's and at great venues like Ministry.

Yeah.... when I said he wanted me to sell tickets I wasn't trying to suggest he was doing anything wrong. Just that living in Birmingham it was hard for me to sell tickets to a London event.

In the e-mail contact I have had he seems sound.

So in a nutshell it's fine to get your foot in the door by ticket sales and not because of your skills as a dj?
