Personally I thought it was a total letdown to be honest, 7 of the acts I went to see didnt even play due to poor organisation, loads of hassle getting in and camping was full. Plus the whole "VIP" thing was a total joke..!

All in all not impressed..! If I'd actually paid for tickets I'd be absolutely fuming..!

i was just speaking for people who did go down and did have a good time even tho they recognised the event was badly organised......

My main point right at the begining of the thread was with some of the stories suggested, as i knew them not to be true and just questioned some of the sources...... we seem to have taken a major tangent! No harm Done!

Yeah i presume Chew the Fat they wont have any involvement next year unless they receive all their fees in advance.......... we shal see!

the event was badly organised, well it was their first event they didnt have much experience.
u still could have a lovely time like me spending ur time with fun people, if u didnt go with fun ppl u could have met fun ppl at the event to have a fun time.
if u really didnt like zoo8 that much dont go next year.

I'm not trying to have any digs Claire at any music styles at all. I was just trying to say that we had a great time playing the sounds we did in response to what Mark said. Perhaps I should've chosen as my reference hardcore gabba tech from some German dude instead of the choice I did. Believe it of not I actually love most style's of music but I just prefer playing what I play to the peeps I play when I play because for me different times, different crowds and different countries mean different styles.

I'm not trying to say either that this festival was the best thing sliced bread. It most certainly wasn't but I believe (actually I know) that a lot of the things reported by different sources have been either completely fabricated or heavily exagerated. I mean who the fuck would believe that Mark Ronson toodled himself off with a wheel barrow full of coins???

I would also like to point out that I was not involved in any way shape or form in organising the whole event. We (Groove Monkey / Fnuk / Charlies Church) got asked to host a tent on the Saturday night and thats exactly what we did. If our tent had been shut down, had nobody in it all night or even not allowed to start then I might be on here slagging it all off!!!! But that didn't happen. Our tent was open all day / night and was busy for the majority of it so I can only be positive about it.

As I stated in my previous threads I can't comment on the rest of the festival only on what we did. I can understand that people would have felt let down but as Small Fry has said I think that some people make the most out of a bad situation and some people make a problem out of a not so good situation.

Its ok, we'll let the booking agents sue the organisers, although we didn't get paid, we didn't personally lose that much money, its all part of promotion I guess. We do it for the love, not the money!

Oh and if there is another event next year this lot better be there cos they fookin rocked Sunday!!!! Ryan sos I missed you set geez but as you were fully aware I wasn't in the best of shapes!!!! Next year if it does happen again I'm getting one of those posh winibago's with a bed that doesn't deflate itself - fuck it!!!!!!
