Can anyone help?

Everytime I open DSI for the last couple of days, it seems to have reverted to the most basic of layouts. If I knew how to do a screen shot to demonstrate I would, sorry.

Basically the background is grey, the chat boxes are all in white, the chat area is now on the right of the screen and it all looks ridiculous. Any other website I go to works fine, this is only a problem on DSI.

Hmm, I disagree.

I find the colour scheme soothing to my eyes seeing I use a 19" Wide-Screen HD Ready TV as my Monitor, which is set to 200 Hertz.

Was white with black text and tiny bits of yellow... Pretty much how the site is now.

I'm not saying the site is bad as it's not, it's just not an improvement. If the site was in a similar scheme to the "quick links" dropdown it'd look a whole lot better than it does now.

I do remember that happening, it stalled, yes it did look simular.


Remember the New Scheme is not even a week old, give it a couple of months and the teething troubles should be rectified.

Yes I do find it soothing.

If you have to have an expensive screen to see it properly then its a bad design.
I've also seen people saying that obviously the people who think it looks bad have the screens set up incorrectly, this is patronising crap.

I have a high spec, high def, wide screen monitor, set up exactly as it should be in my office. The background, boxes and urine highlights are still dull as dish water.

The site and layout is fine, I just find the colours to be extremely bland and is going to be far from inviting for new users.

I think generally it needs a lot more contrast... Bolder lines and writing and brighter buttons etc.

Exactly. The refit is great on the whole but the colours are a monumental let down.

Hmmm. Shame the way the site's gone in general, used to love dsi, no good for anything but promotion now really, all the community and socialising's mainly on FaceBook, which is also a pile of shite.

Ah, I use a Wide Screen HD Ready TV as a Monitor because it saves a lot of space in the room I rent in a shared house.

As I said the new scheme is less than one week old, DSI will probably listen to the Complaints and make changes for the better?

But that's the thing, why should a site revamp take a couple of months to get used to and to iron out all the kinks?

Surely that's just just shit design and marketing.

You're going to lose all the potential new members that come onto the site in the next couple of months and take one look at it and think, 'no thanks'....

If the new site isn't finished yet, why the fuck launch it.
