When does a joke go too far?
Reverse spoon reflection lookalike Rebecca Adlington is calling for former Mock The Week star Frankie Bolye to be punished after he made a joke about her:
"The thing that nobody really said about Rebecca Adlington is that she looks pretty weird. She looks like someone who's looking at themselves in the back of a spoon.

"And then, when she arrived back on the flight she met her boyfriend. Did you see her boyfriend? He was really attractive. He was like a male model. So from that I have deduced that Rebecca Adlington is very dirty – I mean if you just take into account how long she can hold her breath…"

Should the BBC listen to her and start castrating comediens so that they can no longer be funny, or should everyone just realise that it is a joke and get on with their lives?

Jesus Christ. How fucking dull is your life!

Sorry sorry. What I meant to say was

I totally agree with everything you say, all the time

hahahaha...fucking hyprocrite. It's ok to make racially suggestive jokes as long as you're black, right?
Not becuase i'm black, but because
  1. I still pay for my porn
  2. I have a food sex fetish
  3. My cock is fucking massive
I reckon she's fucking ugly, she deserves to get a rinsing.

You've never looked at someone and thought to yourself "I'd keep my kids away from him"?

No but the point is i wouldn't just say out loud in public "that guy is a peado, look it him. His eyes are too close together". I think that's the whole issue, it wasn't like boyle was sitting around his mates or even in a comedy night, infact i think its less to do with him telling the joke (tell it as many times he like) more that the BBC decided to show it for no real reason. Funny as it is, it wasn't that

ps, i can respond so much as i have a machine just for stuff like forums and chatting and shit and i've mastered multi-tasking so women be warned, once i can suck my own cock you'll be useless

I think Frankie Boyle has got a point, I think she should look at the back of a spoon live on tv and dispel these rumours

Due to Rebecca Adlington complaining about this, the joke was printed yesterday in the Evening Standard (along with a photo of her for comparison) and other news papers yesterday morning. Her actions have brought it to the attention of more people than the BBC would have done originally.

It was actually in reference to the post strikes of recent. But I kinda hoped that was obvious! Obviously not.

Haha, I realised that. I was just commenting on the original point of the thread in that she can't take a joke.

When does a joke go too far?

a joke stops being funny when someone gets that upset they become suicidal.

unless ofcorse the whole point is to try and get them to kill them selves, then its still funney even when they lose the plot.

We took the piss out of one of our mates so much when we were younger he tried to top himself, his mum discovered him after he took loads of paracetomal and he had to be pumped out.

It was fucking shocking at the time, we had no idea the effect we were having on the guy as he showed no signs of suicide or depression.

You've never looked at someone and thought to yourself "I'd keep my kids away from him"?

yep, its called a mirror
I'd never heard of her before, all this has done is highlight to me who she is, and now, looking at her, I have decided he's right, she's ugly... she must be dirty.

Nothing will come of it, you can't stop comedians being funny.

Just like we can't stop her having kids and bringing even more sensitive ugly people into the world.

When does a joke go too far?

I think that a pretty good indication may be when the bomb squad and a swat team turns up.

The more people who get offended, the better the joke, i say.

Frankie Boyle is such a cunt, I love him.

If he rinsed me on national television, I'd be pleased for the recognition ;-) x

she'd laugh her little swimsuit off

If I'd won an olympic medal for swimming, I'd only ever leave the house wearing speedos and gold medals.

It was no different to seeing an attractive woman with a fat old man who has a aura of peado about him

I really want to make a joke but i think it could get me in a lot of trouble.
