Back in 2003, three good-for-nothing Brighton techno chancers thought they'd have a bash at putting on a 'minimal' night, in the hope that maybe there were a few other people out there who might share our obscurist passion for labels like Kompakt, Trapez, Sender, Sub-Static, and hosts of others.

Little did we know that 4 years later, our fringe interest would have blossomed into arguably the world's dominant club sound, infuriating purists, baffling the UK club industry, and turning its major players into bona fide superstars in the process. Truly, we never realised it would turn out like this.

So, for our fourth birthday, we're going back to our roots with an exclusive UK show from PAN/TONE, aka Toronto native Sheldon Thompson, undisputed king of heavy-rocking, no-frills techno power. Flying in the face of today's endless surge of factory-line minimalism, Pan/Tone's sound is as raw as the finest sashimi, and to our ears, equally as fresh.

Taking his cue from Wolfgang Voigt's legendary Studio 1 project and basically sticking a nuclear launcher up its arse, he's also flirted with punk vibes as Sid Le Rock, and smart electronics as Gringo Grinder. But it's his Pan/Tone guise that's made him one of the scene's most celebrated producers and live-acts of the last five years, with releases on Sender, Sub-Static and his own excellent Cereal/Killers label consistently reducing both audiences and speaker stacks to rubble the world over.

As you can tell, we're hugely excited about this exclusive UK performance. So come and join us to witness an artist who represents the true sound of our beloved party.
