I want VERY GOOD house DJs to send me a mix - 1 HOUR MINIMUM LENGTH - 192 kbps mp3 download please and your My Space page URL. Oh and send me your photo too AND telephone number

AND tell me where you have played out in the past and where you currently play out.

If you are VERY GOOD and DJ using CDJs (you need to bring these) or Laptop (not vinyl - there are no Technics unless you bring your own) then I might have a regular slot for you

on a Saturday night in a central London bar - yes zone 1 right next to a major train station also right next to a major club. When I say right next to I mean like 10 meters from both!

Ideally I want 3 or 4 people committed to this who can each play for a minimum of 1 hour each and a maximum of 2 hours and do this every Saturday night.

The night I am organising will be marketed as a pre-club spot before going to the major club right next door.

The music will be: melodic, uplifting, beautiful, underground, filthy, dirty house.

It will not be: techno, boring drums with no melody, cheesy vocal disco diva house.

I like Electro House (Miles Dyson) and VERY good trance (Jaytech) - so much trance is cheesy bollocks but not all.

If you are interested then send me a mp3 - photo - telephone number and details of where you play out now and where you have played out.

You will be expected to help organise this in some way or do some marketing. Some marketing can be done online with your fat ass sitting at a PC like I am doing now - lol.

You will not be paid.

You will do this for the love of it and for experience playing out and also the possibility of making contacts that can help you in the future.

I've always wanted to do a DJ gig where you go in with a few mates, and time how long it takes you to completely clear the place. Like go to a funk night and play abstract techno or break-core, and get a watch and see how long it takes for everyone to leave or the promoter to physically remove you from the decks and you roll around the floor laughing

this might be the perfect candidate..............

Incidentally, the GumTree advert mentions it being Zone 1 Victoria - which means the club is more than likely Pacha.


Not sure about the bar though, can't think of that many round there that would fit the description above tbh.

Mate of mine did this, at Pacha funnily enough. The promoter who booked him decided that as he hadn't brought enough people in on his paying guest list, he was going to cut off people from his free guest list.

This was shortly before his set in the second room. He decided to instead of playing the nice fluffy house the promoter wanted, that his retribution would be to play some of the dirtiest, most inaccessible techno he had.

After three songs, the promoters room had completely cleared and he was asked to leave the decks.

The Problem is you'd have to sneak out with your CDJ's with a risk of the bar owners giving you a physical warning... but I think it would be worth it!
Maybe agree to do it, then forget your CDJ's - he probably doesnt have his own CDJ's or he wouldnt be trying to borrow some off DJ's for his promotion so that should mess up his plans.
