This extraordinary situation regarding the rumours that are spiraling out of control about what is happening with RETRO in the North East can now be quashed.

I have had nothing to say about the future because up until very recently there was nothing to report.

Now I have, first things first - Retro is NOT repeat NOT going into Millennium ! Secondly, myself alongside a collective consortium HAVE been approached by the owners of Tall Trees to place events which would include Retro into the club.

At this moment in time all parties are actively trying to negotiate an appropriate deal to suit all, but nothing has been set in stone, as soon as a firm deal has been set, this website will exclusively reveal the outcome which I expect will be very soon.

For the record, my personal involvement would be based upon completing the history of this once fantastic institution of a club and ending it with proper style and respect. There are so many issues that need to be addressed to make this happen, both myself and my colleagues want to do it !

A full press release will follow shortly and lets hope all parties concerned can combine to do the RIGHT THING.

At this exciting but delicate stage I would like to state my utmost respect for the two Barry’s and Ashley at the superb EMPIRE in Middlesbrough for their understanding and support throughout, without them Retro in the North East would simply not exist, for that I am truly indebted to them. MASSIVE respect!

Well i hope tall trees is staying open! And hope it will stay open for a good few more years (forever would be even better :D) I havnt been to retro since the transfer to empire but would happily go it made a return to talltrees!

Not that any1 else is arsed but for the record Tall Trees approached Retro, if PT was bothered about the money he wouldn't have pulled Retro out of the biggest and highest income venue. Trees is ironing out all the issues Retro had with the club to get it back in there and stop the club from closing down - mainly lights/sound, new management & security.

It's Trees that is needing the ca-ching! But hey who cares about the technicalities??? ...certainly not me!!!
