dress codes dont mean dick imo. if you start saying shoes only etc your going to turn people away, just cus your casually dressed doesnt mean your going to start a fight. im not saying come as a tramp, smart casual/dress to impress kind of thing im talking. not scruffy trainers, hoodies, ben sherman shirts and rockports etc :p

Sometimes dress codes can create more dramas, when I did the Dance For Life night I had one of the doormen not let in one of the Djs in becasue of what he was wearing, and people were getting annoyed at being told to put there coats in the cloakroom etc. By being too strict it can create a negative impression as well, and i totally agree that dress codes don't mean dick, if someone is going to act a twat it dont matter if they are in a lacoste tracksuit or an Armani suit, they are going to do it anyway!

dunney also thanks shawo for your supportive positive attitude

No problem, I try and support anyone in Cov who puts on a dance night, I know how hard it is and appreciate how much time, effort and money goes into putting a night on!

exactly shawo. although i do think coats should be put in but thats more for a safety thing that anything else. i dont like the fact you have to pay but less chance of people carrying things they shouldnt be around. but thats just prob the paranoid side in me lol

dress code is usually just there as a fall back excuse for not letting the dick heads in.. i thought you'd all have sussed this by now.

its all about common sense on the door, at the end of the day! you need a representative of the club on the door, rather than the bouncers deciding who gets in.

thats my tip of the day #1
